Pro-Hamas Mob Takes Over a Christmas Tree Lighting Because the Destruction Is the Point

In the ongoing effort to make life as painful as possible for normal Americans, pro-Hamas protesters took over the annual Christmas tree lighting in downtown Seattle on Sunday. A large group of terrorist supporters flying Palestinian flags and carrying banners marched down 5th Avenue, stopping in front of the tree to prevent families from enjoying the event.

As distasteful as the protest itself was, the mob could have kept marching. There was no requirement that they stop and take over the area where the Christmas tree lighting was happening. They did so for one reason: They want to destroy your culture, and they want to make it as emotionally painful as possible.

They don't want people to be able to enjoy an event centered on a Christian holiday. They don't want families to be able to gather for a night of reverence and fun in what was once an idyllic downtown area. Rather, they want to dominate. They want to rip the heart out of America's traditions and project their power while doing so.

In their minds, they are untouchable. What they believe is preeminent, and what others care about is irrelevant. Blocking a Christmas tree lighting is their right, and any disagreement is simply bigotry. They rule, and you don't.

And why would they believe any differently? The police do not enforce the laws against these pro-Hamas mobs. Instead, they coddle them, allowing them to block traffic and threaten others as they chant genocidal slogans. Politicians and the nation's institutions offer their direct support. Meanwhile, counter-protesters are treated far more harshly, even being suspended from their jobs for speaking negatively about Hamas.

This is how it always starts. It starts with shutting down Christmas tree lightings and it ends with a total destruction and domination of the culture. Americans can either take a stand and say enough is enough, or they can continue to watch the things they once held dear being torn down and stomped on. You don't win culture wars by default. You win them by actually fighting them.
