Given the Senate’s frustrating inability to pass the SAVE America Act, which would require proof of citizenship to vote and photo ID to submit a ballot, it’s no wonder that many people are worried about election integrity.
Department of Justice Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon is taking those concerns seriously, and she’s warned states that illegal aliens voting will not be tolerated. She’s also sending in teams to make sure everything’s on the up and up.
Prominent conservative activist and voter‑registration guru Scott Presler hailed the move:

In addition to the monitors in select states, she put all 50 on notice Tuesday:
The head of the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division sent letters to election officials in all 50 states on Tuesday threatening criminal action if they knowingly allow non-U.S. citizens to vote or to remain on their voter rolls, the department confirmed to CBS News.
The letters also asked the state officials to explain how they intend to comply with federal law and ensure noncitizens do not cast ballots. Each state was given five days to respond.
“Noncitizens,” CBS News? You mean “illegal aliens.” That is the correct term; please let your proofreaders know.

An Alien Voted Illegally in Two Elections: Democrats Are Baffled
Keep it clean, Dhillon warned, or there will be consequences:
"Any election officer, including the chief election officer of the state, who knowingly retains noncitizens on the state's [state voter registration list] or facilitates noncitizens in receiving and casting ballots could be subject to criminal liability," Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon wrote in identical letters sent to officials in Arizona, Michigan and Maine that were reviewed by CBS News. She added that it is also a crime for two or more people to conspire to deprive people of their constitutional rights.
"We encourage you to contact us to discuss what steps your state should take to maintain clean voter lists as required by law," she wrote.
The Left will surely screech about these moves, claiming that Team Trump is trying to rob you of your vote, but they didn’t have any complaints when Biden sent DOJ election monitors to 64 jurisdictions in 24 states for the 2022 general election.
Now pass the SAVE Act already, Senate, and a lot of these worries will go away.
