Since White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt went on maternity leave in late April, the administration has planned a rotating cast of officials to do the job, with Secretary of State Marco Rubio handling things on May 5.
On Tuesday, it was Vice President JD Vance’s turn, and although he covered a lot of ground, this clip of him torching the hypocrisy of the “No Kings” crowd was chef’s kiss:

MIC DROP: @VP perfectly calls out the left's 'No Kings' hypocrisy
"How many Democratic lawmakers have I seen holding up signs that say 'No Kings' — they're very, very insistent that we not have kings. And then King Charles comes to the Congressional Chamber and these guys break out in rapturous applause.
So maybe they don't care so much about kings as they pretend that they do. Maybe they just don't like the agenda that we're implementing that's actually making American workers and American families safe and prosperous again."
Nailed it.
Meanwhile, The Independent's leftie WH correspondent Andrew Feinberg probably wishes he'd stayed at home, because the VP flat-out embarrassed him for his ridiculously biased questioning:
.@VP just HUMILIATED a reporter who attempted to posture over asking a real question at today’s press briefing:

"Come on, man! Have a little bit of objectivity in the way that you ask these questions, because there were a lot of things in that speech masquerading as a question that didn't actually get asked."
The dude’s question went on for literally a minute before Vance told him to get to the point. Feinberg prattled on for at least another 30 seconds, basically making a political speech arguing that Trump was corrupt. Finally the VP had enough:
Before I answer your question, I want to just observe, there are different ways to ask a question, okay? You can just ask a question, try to get your answer, or you can do like a speech where you say, you know, Mr. Vice President, you're a terrible human being and so is the president, so is the entire cabinet.
And then I'm like, what's your question? And then your question is, how dare you?
Come on, man.
In other words, go write your hit pieces in an op-ed somewhere — the official press briefing isn’t the time or place for your shenanigans.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a satisfying press briefing if Vance didn’t get the opportunity to shut down CNN’s Kaitlin Collins, who can always be counted on to push the DNC narrative. She asked him about the president's allegedly saying he didn’t care about Americans’ pocketbooks.
Vance was ready:

"See, Kaitlan, what you did is you misrepresented the question that I was asked and then you misrepresented the answer I gave [...] It was totally taken out of context."
Vance also talked about the shooting at the Islamic Center in San Diego, the conflict in Iran, and more. Watch the full briefing here:
