Acting Out: ActBlue Staffers Took the 5th Almost 150 Times Amid Foreign Cash Probe

ActBlue is one of the is one of the biggest leftist fundraising platforms in the land, and it’s long been the subject of scrutiny and criticism from conservatives, who argue that it doesn’t vet the huge number of small donor donations it receives and is a major conduit for foreign money to affect our elections.

It’s taken in over $16 billion since its founding in 2004.

They, of course, cry innocent at every turn, but they acted awfully suspiciously in front of congressional hearings, according to a bombshell joint interim staff report from the Judiciary, Administration, and Oversight committees released Monday. If you have nothing to hide, why the silence?

And when I say silence, I mean a complete refusal to answer questions from Congress — almost 150 times. Certainly not a good look.

ActBlue employees invoked their Fifth Amendment right at least 146 times in depositions with congressional committees investigating alleged donor fraud on the fundraising platform, according to an explosive report released Monday.

Two ActBlue officials, one of whom formerly served as VP of customer service, and three of its former lawyers “declined to answer a single one of the Committees’ substantive questions,” stated the interim staff report from the House Administration, Oversight and Judiciary Committees.

“Their unwillingness to testify only amplifies the Committees’ concerns,” the report added of the depositions between July and December 2025, also citing ActBlue CEO Regina Wallace-Wells’ seemingly “false statements to Congress” and withholding of documents pursuant to a subpoena for records.

In an era of increased scrutiny of political donations and foreign interference, the House Administration, Judiciary, and Oversight Committees found that ActBlue weakened its vetting process at least twice in 2024. But they’re not talking:

Last year, we found that ActBlue, the left’s leading online fundraising platform, weakened its fraud-prevention standards ahead of the 2024 election—even as the company knew about significant attempted fraud on the platform.

It seems they could give their names, but that’s about all the information they were willing to divulge:

In total, we asked them 146 questions.

They refused to answer a single one, invoking their Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination every time.

On Monday, meanwhile, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton sued the outfit for allowing “fraudulent and foreign donations to undermine the integrity of our nation’s elections.”

From all indications, ActBlue is a sleazebag operation that turns a blind eye to potential malfeasance as it helps raise billions for the far left. Taking the Fifth Amendment is not an admission of guilt, but invoking it 146 times certainly qualifies as acting suspiciously.

Democrats go on and on about the “danger to Democracy,” and made up an entire “Russia Collusion” hoax out of whole cloth, but when slippery operations are occurring right under their noses, they don’t care — as long as it benefits them.

Editor's Note: The Democrats are doing everything in their power to undermine the integrity of our elections.
