The New York Times is the Bible for liberal America, the once-proud standard of journalistic excellence that has unfortunately descended into becoming a mouthpiece for the progressive movement and everything far-left.
It’s been a depressing decline to witness, as I fully remember as a child the newspaper of record being delivered to our NYC apartment every day, and the smell of the newsprint was like ambrosia.
This was the truth, we believed, being dropped at our doorstep each morning.
Now, of course, we know them to be biased, cynical, and unafraid to misrepresent the truth. The scary part about this story, however, is not that they lost the plot long ago, which every conservative already knows, but how many on the Left side still get most of their news from the Slimes and equally tainted outlets like CNN.
They showed their true colors once again on Wednesday. It wasn’t an April Fools’ joke, however. Do they not even know what NATO is?

NATO, of course, does not include the word “America” — it’s the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, and it was created in 1947 with Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, the United Kingdom, and the United States being the founding members.
The goal was to form a bloc to counter the growing threat of the Soviet Union, which collapsed in 1991, but which still presents an existential threat to this day in Vladimir Putin’s Russian Federation.
As we’ve reported, the alliance has proved to be on shaky ground at best, considering our supposed “allies” are nowhere to be found in our time of need:

In order to report on NATO, however, one presumably would have to know what it actually is. The New York Times, apparently, does not:

Here’s the truth: writers, especially of the conservative bent —knowing that there are highly financed outlets like Media Matters drooling over the prospect of embarrassing us — worry about getting something wrong. The AI videos, for instance, make it increasingly difficult to discern what is fake and what is reality.
That’s why we here at RedState have multiple fact-checkers and editors, and when a commenter points out something that may not be 100 percent, we take it seriously and do whatever we can in the effort to bring you correct information.
But to not even know what NATO is? That’s frankly unbelievable. It would be just another “Ha ha, look at these losers” story, but as I said, outlets like the Times and CNN still hold a prominent place in the Democrats and liberals’ headspace. If they say it, it’s true; all too many still believe it to be Gospel.
And yet, apparently, their braintrust couldn’t even pass a basic high-school history class. Utterly pathetic, and it’s dangerous misinformation like this that has engendered the socialist-progressive virus that has infected all too many voters and leaders in our society.
I wish this were a one-off, but it’s not.
Our mainstream media has been complicit in leading America down a dark path, and the once vaunted New York Times is at the top of the list of complicit actors.
