Sometimes, you have to give credit where credit is due. Since we regularly slam corporations that go wrong and buy into the destructive progressive mythology — see Target, Bud Light, and Jaguar, to name a few — it’s only fair that when they do something right, we cover that too.

It would appear that Hilton Worldwide stepped up to the plate after the Department of Homeland Security reported that a location in Minneapolis was refusing to allow ICE agents to stay there.

As Rusty Weiss and I reported, DHS was furious at the chain for the discriminatory, anti-law enforcement effort, and they let Hilton know it in no uncertain terms. But then a surprising thing happened: Hilton cut ties with the franchise, a Hampton Inn, and said they don’t stand for such nonsense and were a “welcoming place for all.”

DISCRIMINATION: Hilton Axes Hotel From Their Systems After Video Shows Them Continuing to Ban DHS and ICE Agents

Updated: Hilton Responds After DHS Says Hotels Told Them to Pound Sand, Stay Somewhere Else

On Thursday, the grim reaper, in the form of a giant crane, came coming for the last vestiges of the chain's association with the rogue franchise:

You’re on your own now, folks:

Photos emerged Thursday showing a crane removing the sign of a Hampton Inn hotel in the Minneapolis area that allegedly refused to accommodate U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and immigration officers.

The formerly Hilton-branded property in Lakeville was stripped of its Hilton label by the hotel chain on Tuesday morning after a video surfaced appearing to show that the location continued to deny immigration officers despite Hilton Hotels saying that the venue had apologized and that "properties are open to everyone, and we do not tolerate any form of discrimination."

The images showed the sign being lifted off its supports by a crane set up in the hotel’s parking lot.

Hilton did not immediately respond to a request for comment Thursday from Fox News Digital. It’s unclear who is now operating the hotel.

Influencer Nick Sortor, who exposed the fact that the Hampton was still turning away law enforcement even after Hilton told them to stand down, celebrated on X:

We reported on how Hilton has issued virtue-signaling statements in the past, and how they were slow to respond to this bad behavior, and initially only came up with a somewhat weak-sauce statement.

That being said, though, they appear to have done the right thing in the end, and that's certainly not something we’ve been seeing a lot lately from giant corporations in recent years. So for the moment, at least, I salute you, Hilton Hotels, for doing the right thing.
