UPDATE 1/5/26 3:50 p.m. ET

Hilton Hotels has finally responded with a milquetoast statement claiming their properties "serve as welcoming places for all." It does not say whether there will be any consequences for the apparently inhospitable attitude of its member hotel or hotels.

We are investigating this matter with this individual hotel, and can confirm that Hilton works with governments, law enforcement, and community leaders around the world to ensure our properties are open and inviting to everyone.

Original Story

I didn’t know this until just a few minutes ago, but Hilton Hotels’ advertising tagline is “For the Stay.” What does that even mean? What the heck is the point?

Whatever the reason for that odd choice, it evidently does not apply to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) or U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, because it appears they won't be met with open arms. According to DHS, their personnel are not welcome at Minneapolis-area Hiltons:

The tweet continues:

This is UNACCEPTABLE. Why is Hilton Hotels siding with murderers and rapists to deliberately undermine and impede DHS law enforcement from their mission to enforce our nation’s immigration laws?

The DHS email included communication with the hotel chain (with the email addresses partially blacked out). The message was not very inviting, shall we say:

After further investigation online, we have found information about immigration work connected with your name and we will be cancelling your upcoming reservation. You should see a proper cancellation email in your inbox shortly from Hilton.

Democrats and liberals have given a very frosty — often violent — response to DHS and ICE’s efforts to restore law and order to the country and undo the damage that Ole Joe’s “Let Them All In” immigration policy did to the nation.

In what appears to be a second email, Hampton Inn, owned by Hilton Worldwide, tells DHS to pound sand:

This email is in regards to the reservation you made with the Hampton Inn Lakeville property.

We have noticed an influx of GOV reservations made today that have been for DHS, and we are not allowing any ICE or immigration agents to stay at our property. If you are with DHS or immigration, let us know as we will have to cancel your reservation.

Please pass on this info to your coworkers that we are not allowing any immigration agents to house on our property.

The next step is clear: Either Hilton condemns this, apologizes, and reverses course in Minnesota or we boycott Hilton Hotels.

Hilton has not issued a response at this time. Although the company operates on a franchise model, meaning they don’t necessarily get involved in every issue, they have virtue-signaled in the past:

In past years, the company has emphasized that it wants to welcome immigrants and has had a policy of employing refugees. A statement in 2020 emphasized that Hilton did not support the detention of immigrants at its properties, after reports that agents had used rooms to house immigrants, including minors, in Texas.

For the time being, at least, it would seem that Hilton’s message to federal law enforcement is “For the Stay – As Long As It’s Somewhere Else.”

Editor’s Note: Democrat politicians and their radical supporters will do everything they can to interfere with and threaten ICE agents enforcing our immigration laws.
