Poor ole Gavin Newsom—he’s got the shiny teeth, the perfectly coiffed hair, the beta-male-speak down pat, the rich donors—but what he doesn’t have is a record of success.
In fact, the California governor’s stunning trail of failure follows him like a bad smell, and he can’t get rid of it. He’s trying, though, regularly posting thirsty “pay attention to me PLEASE” messages on social media, doing everything he can to stay in the national conversation as a possible presidential candidate, even though he’s driven the Golden State into the ground.
Here’s his latest attempt at bravado, as he begs Donald Trump to do something about Texas’ effort to redistrict in the GOP’s favor. Once upon a time, this may have held resonance, but as RedState has reported, the redistricting efforts in Dem hotbeds like Illinois and Massachusetts are so ridiculous that they make a mockery out of the system.

What’s so interesting about his unhinged broadside is that he threatens that “California will be forced to lead an effort to redraw our maps to offset the rigging of maps in red states.” As we’ve reported about states like New York and other liberal strongholds, these maps have been so thoroughly abused and manipulated by Democrats that they are a joke. What are you going to do, Gavin? Take a one-party state and turn it even more blue? The Dems control the governorship, the state senate, and the assembly—and the disastrous results are clear for all to see.
A record of unbridled failure, where business and residents are fleeing in droves, and the state suffered its worst population loss in 150 years.

You’re a cheater.
I write about Gavin Newsom a lot, because I think he’s an existential threat to everything that regular Americans value. What’s so concerning about him is that he manages to come across to many “progressive” voters as a voice of reason, a “caring Democrat,” when in fact he’s an extremist on virtually every issue. I would simply laugh at him and mock him, except that we saw Joe Biden of all people elected as commander in chief of our nation, and the clueless Kamala Harris come entirely too close for comfort.
Gavin Newsom is a polished—another word might be “oily”—Democrat politician, and one can simply discount the danger by saying, “Oh, that’s crazy California.” But he is the Democrats’ last best hope right now, and he’s good at what he does—namely, gaslighting and distorting. He is the enemy of Making America Great Again; his legacy proves that his goal is to make America a hellhole, and he and his twisted vision must be defeated.
