We’re used to seeing contributors and pundits on CNN and MSNBC making sweeping generalizations that are untethered to reality. However, they usually come armed with some semblance of the facts.
But CNN contributor Cari Champion couldn’t be bothered to keep an eye on current events; she was determined to say what she had to say, and the news cycle was apparently irrelevant to her. The leftist outlet's lone voice of reason, conservative Scott Jennings, wasn’t having it, as usual, and his facial expressions were priceless as Champion literally ignored the fact that the countries of Rwanda and the Congo just signed a peace agreement in the Oval Office Friday under the watch of President Donald Trump.
Champion tried to argue that the deal wasn’t done, when in fact there is video documenting that it is indeed done:
CHAMPION: The foreign minister from Rwanda has told CNN and said he’s committed to supporting this ongoing negotiation, but warned that ending the conflict would depend on political will…And he doesn’t know if that is true.
It’s not done! It’s not done!
JENNINGS: You didn’t watch the news yesterday. They literally announced it in the Oval Office.

Faced with reality, Champion grew more aggressive and tried to "own" Jennings. That went about as well as you’d expect.
CHAMPION: You said something earlier.
You said...there's something about the media where they feel like they want to disprove Donald Trump. Is that what you said? Something to that effect?
JENNINGS: Yes, it happens every day...
CHAMPION: And you think that's what they want to do, right? You think the media is going in to say, he's lying and he's not telling the truth. You believe that?...
JENNINGS: Yeah, I do.
Champion goes on to prove his point in real-time. Trump literally just appeared with the leaders of two countries to announce the peace deal, and she immediately attempts to "disprove" that:
CHAMPION: Okay, I also think that to our point that we haven't established, he does announce things before... It's too soon.
How is it too soon?! They just signed the papers.
The panel descended into crosstalk, but you could hear Jennings say, "I think you should watch the news before you come on here." As Champion grew increasingly heated (and unhinged), host Abby Phillip finally put a merciful end to the ridiculous proceedings.

Priceless.
Receipts, what are they? “Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo signed a U.S.-brokered peace agreement on Friday…The agreement marks a breakthrough in talks held by U.S. President Donald Trump's administration…” https://t.co/nXNTgqnzh2
