If Jasmine Crockett is the new face of the Democrat party, Republicans can sleep easier at night. The incendiary Texas Democrat congresswoman has made numerous headlines in recent months for her increasingly unhinged rhetoric, as she mocked Lone Star Gov. Greg Abbott’s use of a wheelchair (he was partially paralyzed by a falling tree in his 20s), she threatened TX Sen. Ted Cruz, and so much more.
But does she have the goods? Can she be the next leader the flailing Democrats so badly need?
In a word, no. The problem is, she makes no sense. In an interview with FOX 4 News Dallas-Fort Worth posted to YouTube Wednesday, reporter Steven Dial asked her about the Democrat playbook for the midterms and whether the party would focus on discussing “kitchen table issues.”
Her answer was all over the place and made her fellow congresscritter, New York’s Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, seem like a Mensa hall-of-famer in comparison:
“You act like I got the playbook,” Crockett quipped.
Dial then asked what she personally believes is the “playbook.”
“The winning playbook, I think overall, is just communication and education. I think that you can talk about kitchen table issues all you want to, but it comes down to actually having a rapport and making sure that people actually understand what it is that you’re talking about,” Crockett said. “I don’t think that we failed to talk about kitchen table issues, but basically, Trump was simple and lied, right? Like he said, ‘Hey, the price of eggs are high. I’ma reduce it on day one.’ It was a very simple message. It was a lie.”

There’s only one problem with Crockett’s deep analysis: egg prices are down. Oh. In fact, prices are down across the board, and inflation came in lower than expected in April. Oh.

When Dial pointed out the problem with her analysis, her response bordered on parody:
“After they went up through the roof … let’s be clear. And honestly, they may be down for the second, but again, having people be educated about what it is that the FDA does and talking about things such as the bird flu and talking about if you have less birds because they are sick, then that’s less eggs,” she said. “But the demand is still the same, then the price goes up. Like, we have to make sure we do education. One of the other issues that I think that we had is that people didn’t understand that the global pandemic was the cause of our inflation. They were like, ‘Oh, everything’s high,’ and they just said, ‘Well, that’s the person that’s in office,’ instead of actually having this global conversation.”
What? I have no idea what you just said, Ms. Crockett, or what your point is.
She had more, but you could tell that it wasn't going anywhere. Her summary: “…I think our win is in our education and our constant communication.” Doesn’t sound like a winning slogan to me, but by all means, Congresswoman, keep trying to sell that.
The Democrats are in complete disarray because they stand for little more than opposing Trump and pushing their extremist progressive values. The fact that unserious people like Crockett, NJ Sen. Cory Booker, and AOC are even in the conversation about the party’s next generation of leaders tells you all you need to know about where they are right now.
And I like it.
The Democrat Party has never been less popular as voters reject their globalist agenda.
