If you’d almost forgotten Tim Walz even existed, you’re not alone. The excitable Minnesota governor who helped tank former Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential bid made such a fool out of himself on the campaign trail that many thought he would just go down in history as another historical ridicule like former Vermont governor, failed presidential candidate, and famed unhinged screamer Howard Dean.

But Walz had a taste of the national spotlight, and even though he performed horribly and became the butt of numerous “jazz hand” jokes, it appears he became addicted to the attention—because he keeps craving more. Since the Democrats have virtually nothing positive to campaign on, he has resorted to the only thing they have left at this point: "Republicans are Nazis." Never mind that they haven’t invaded Poland or gassed six million Jews, they’re really all supporters of “der Führer.”

Speaking at the University of Minnesota's law school commencement on Saturday, Walz compared U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents—who  are busy trying to fix the illegal alien disaster that the Biden-Harris regime left—to the Gestapo.

No really.

Here’s his “hot take”:

"I'm gonna start with the flashing red light — Donald Trump's modern-day Gestapo is scooping folks up off the streets. They're in unmarked vans, wearing masks, being shipped off to foreign torture dungeons," Walz said. "No chance to mount a defense. Not even a chance to kiss a loved one goodbye. Just grabbed up by masked agents, shoved into those vans and disappeared."

Did the man many call “Tampon Tim” ever even open a history book? This was the Gestapo:

The Gestapo ruthlessly eliminated opposition to the Nazis within Germany and its occupied territories and, in partnership with the Sicherheitsdienst (SD; “Security Service”), was responsible for the roundup of Jews throughout Europe for deportation to extermination camps.

Am I missing something, or is this happening under the Trump administration?

Thousands of leftists, intellectuals, Jews, trade unionists, political clergy, and homosexuals simply disappeared into concentration camps after being arrested by the Gestapo. The political section could order prisoners to be murdered, tortured, or released. 

Needless to say, the Gopher State governor was quickly nuked for his imbecilic take. The man you don’t want to mess with, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, quickly responded:

The Department of Homeland Security, under the direction of Secretary Kristi Noem, also weighed in:

It is absolutely sickening to compare ICE law enforcement agents to the Gestapo.

The Democrats’ endless comparison of Trump administration officials and the president himself to Nazis long ago grew tiresome, and the voting public has generally tuned out such bile, but it can’t be forgotten how despicable and dangerous this kind of rhetoric is. Hitler’s Third Reich and the Holocaust almost destroyed the world as we know it, and mankind with it, and lowly C-list politicians like Tim Walz are trying to make gravy out of such a historic tragedy.

May a higher power—say, God—be your savior, Tim Walz, because what you’re spewing is toxic stuff indeed.
