Hakeem Jeffries has a very, very lonely job right now. As the House leader of the disgraced minority party, he’s faced with dismal approval ratings and an onslaught of negative information about the Democrats' former leader, Joe Biden, and the extensive cover-up of his mental decline engineered by a corrupt activist media and dishonest Dems.

The latest revolting revelations come from one of the Chief Gaslighters, CNN’s Jake Tapper, and his co-author Alex Thompson, who expose in their book “Original Sin” just how out of it Biden had become in his last year as commander in chief. Biden didn’t even recognize his old pal George Clooney at a fundraiser, and if there’s one thing the Hollywood actor can’t stand, it’s not being recognized.

Now that all the dirty laundry is being laid out, you’d think the New York rep. would at least say something vaguely apologetic like, “we could have done better” or some other milquetoast politician speak, but instead in this interview he just pretends none of it ever happened. The courage is… nonexistent.

When pressed by CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer on the cover-up and the Clooney moment, Jeffries sounded like an AI chatbot but with less personality:

Well, I can’t tell you what happened between George Clooney and President Biden. I wasn’t at that event. 

What I can say is that we’re not looking back. We’re going to continue to look forward, because, at this moment, we’ve got real problems that need to be addressed on behalf of the American people, including the Republican effort to snatch away health care, snatch away food assistance, and hurt veterans.

Jeffries—who I once noted has the magnetism of a newt—continued along in this robotic vein and simply flat-out refused to answer a single question on the matter. When asked about his own personal interactions with the former president, he sounded like a Waze announcer:

“Well, in the conversations that I was able to have on behalf of the House Democratic Caucus in those final days, we simply expressed our perspective as to what would be best for the party at that given moment in time. President Biden subsequently made the decision that he was going to pass the baton to Vice President Kamala Harris. Of course, that was the decision that we supported strongly.”

When pressed by Blitzer if the American voters could trust Democrats after all their lies, Jeffries came back with this whopper of a non-answer:

“It’s a great question in terms of whether voters can trust Democrats or not. Every single high-profile special election that has taken place since President Trump was inaugurated, a special election victory in Iowa in January, a special election victory in New York in February, a special election victory in Pennsylvania in March, a special election victory in Wisconsin in the Supreme Court race in April, and, yesterday, decisively defeating a Republican incumbent in Omaha in a surprise to many observers, clearly, voters are trusting Democrats, this year, when they go to the ballot, repeatedly rejecting MAGA extremism.”

Earth to Hakeem: Your party has a 27 percent approval rating—nobody believes a word that comes out of your mouth. This whole display should be called “Profiles in (Lack of) Courage.”
