Now Hakeem Jeffries Goes Over the Edge As He Threatens DHS Officials

At this point, Democrats are truly losing what is left of their minds.

First, we saw Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) threaten DHS officials that if they laid "a finger on" the House Democrats who DHS alleges assaulted agents at the Newark ICE detention facility last Friday, "we are going to have a problem."

DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin responded to AOC, saying it was unacceptable to assault ICE agents.

DHS Responds Accordingly to AOC's Threats Over Possible Punishment for New Jersey Democrats

Now, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) is also threatening DHS officials.

We reported earlier how he was threatening the agents who were on site at the Newark facility: "The masked agents who physically accosted two Congresswomen must be identified immediately and any trumped-up charges against Mayor Baraka dropped."

But on Tuesday, he made it even worse by threatening DHS officials. "They'll find out," he said if DHS decided to arrest the Democrats in question.

He repeated it a couple of times. Then he said, "It's a red line. They know better than to go down that road...There are clear lines that they just dare not cross."

There are also clear lines about not assaulting federal agents and not trying to intimidate federal officials to stop them from enforcing the law. It sounds like Jeffries is trying to intimidate federal officials while crying about intimidation. He's threatening action against them. Once again, Democrats are going off the rails. What happened to the Democrats' "No one is above the law" stance? Except Democrats, apparently. Republicans in Congress need to take action over statements like this.

Jeffries went on to ramble about President Donald Trump's popularity. Yet, Trump is more popular than the Democrats are, and polling has a stunning number of people thinking the country is on the right track under Trump.

Trump's actions on illegal aliens are some of his most popular policies, so not only is Jeffries off the rails with what he's saying, he's also just wrong and out of touch with the American people. They want action; they don't want the Democrats' seeming defense of criminal illegal aliens. It may appeal to the left, but it's sinking Democrats big time with the critical folks in the middle.

They should keep wedding themselves to illegal aliens, and they'll "find out" how well that works in 2026.
