President Donald Trump invented a new political party—the PANICANS—as he vowed to stay the course on his tariff policy. He urged Americans to say “strong” and “courageous” Monday in a post to Truth Social:

Here is the post in full:

The United States has a chance to do something that should have been done DECADES AGO. Don’t be Weak! Don’t be Stupid! Don’t be a PANICAN (A new party based on Weak and Stupid people!). Be Strong, Courageous, and Patient, and GREATNESS will be the result!

The markets continue to be volatile after Trump’s “Liberation Day” announcement on Wednesday that he was going to impose widespread tariffs across numerous countries to fix what he sees as an unfair trade imbalance. As of this writing, the Dow Jones Industrial average is down 1.5 percent on the day after shooting up earlier on a fake news report that the president had decided to pause the tariffs.

Trump is also going to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss those tariffs, among other topics:

Israel's Ambassador to the U.S. Yechiel Leiter told Fox News Digital, "This meeting comes at a critical moment on many key issues: the efforts to return our hostages being held by Hamas, the instability in Syria and the threats posed by Iranian proxies."

"The recent implementation of tariff policy will also be discussed. Just as Prime Minister Netanyahu was the first world leader to visit President Trump in his second term in the White House, he is now once again the first leader to meet with the president with regard to deepening economic ties and putting trade relations in order," he added.

Netanyahu last met with Trump in Washington on Feb. 4.

Trump is showing no signs of backing down on his tariff policy, posting another defiant statement Monday morning touting the administration’s successes:

“Oil prices are down, interest rates are down (the slow moving Fed should cut rates!), food prices are down, there is NO INFLATION, and the long time abused USA is bringing in Billions of Dollars a week from the abusing countries on Tariffs that are already in place.” —POTUS
