Finance Guru Dave Ramsey Weighs in on Presidential Contest—'You Can't Cancel Me'

I often hear finance expert Dave Ramsey on the AM radio dial when I’m driving in the afternoon, and no offense, Dave, but I often turn the channel because you point out my many flaws, and sometimes I’m just not in the mood for that. Ramsey is very anti-debt and lectures listeners who have racked up too much on their credit cards, but in reality, who in these Bidenflation times hasn’t thrown an extra expense here or there onto their magic plastic? I plead guilty.

Nevertheless, although he’s considered controversial in some circles, he does deliver sound—if not always welcome—advice.

Now he’s weighed in on the presidential race, and he’s unequivocal:

"I'm looking at ideas and which idea lands on which side of the aisle," Ramsey said. "Where am I most likely to get a tax policy that I like? Where am I most likely to get an immigration policy I like? Where am I most likely to get a foreign policy I like? Where am I most likely to get a gun policy I like? A climate change policy I like? A woke policy I like? That I agree with."

"And I can check those boxes very clearly, very quickly on these two candidates," he said. "So I'm going to tell you, I'm voting for Donald Trump. Because I checked those boxes and more of them are on that side than the other."

Watch:

Ramsey said he understands that in these days of cancel culture, many of his listeners will simply hit the mute button. "Some of you are never gonna listen to me again after this. That's okay. I can deal with that. That has happened to me for 30 years," he said. Kiss my posterior, he added:

"People have threatened me like, 'I'm going to cancel you.' That's hard to do. I own the show and so you're not going to get to cancel me," he said. "So you can leave, but you can't cancel me."

The finance guy sat down with Trump for an interview earlier in October. And unlike Kamala Harris’ baseless claims that the GOP nominee is dodging appearances, Trump was willing to face the music:

Ramsey has reportedly reached out to both Kamala Harris and her running mate Tim Walz, but so far, neither has shown the cojones to appear. Whether you love Trump or not, he’s shown that he’s willing to talk to all comers, be they friend or foe.  Ramsey has been harshly critical of the former president in the past, but Trump –unlike Kamala –was willing to show up for the grilling, and he won over the radio host.

We don’t want to get cocky, but things are sure looking good.

That being said, we can’t get complacent. Make sure your vote is counted, and get everyone you know out to the ballot box to end the insanity we’ve been living under.
