It's an issue that seems to have no end. Illegal immigrants driving 80,000-pound, fully loaded 18-wheelers across the nation, who barely speak English and cannot read road signs. Dozens of Americans have been injured or killed on America's highways because of these illegal immigrants who entered the country because of Joe Biden's open border. It's one thing to read about these tragedies that never should have taken place. It is quite another when you see it happening. In this case, it is nothing short of a miracle that there was not another fatality.

Recently, in Missouri, a motorist traveling in the northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 61 near Troy, Missouri, about an hour north of St. Louis, encountered a chilling sight: an 18-wheeler traveling southbound in a northbound lane of the divided highway. This driver traveled an astonishing three miles, with several other vehicles getting over to avoid hitting him head-on, before he finally figured out he was traveling the wrong way. The motorist who recorded the frightening video was originally traveling northbound and was nearly hit by the truck, and turned around to track just how far he went. The truck was eventually pulled over by a Missouri State Highway Patrol officer.

It was then that our citizen detective got some very interesting information about this big rig. After the truck was pulled over, he pulled over as well. He was able to get the name of the trucking company, Cargo Transportation LLC, the Department of Transportation (DOT) number of the truck, and a license plate number. The plate...is a Minnesota plate. He also tried to get some footage of the driver, but, surprise, the driver was a bit camera-shy and ducked behind a curtain to the back of the cab.
There is a reason this truck has a Minnesota license plate. That is because Cargo Transportation LLC is owned by someone named Abdiwali Ahmed, and the company is registered in Minnesota. But the best part is that the address of the company is an apartment in Hopkins, Minnesota. Where is Hopkins, Minnesota, you ask? It is a suburb of Minneapolis.

During his State of the Union speech on Tuesday night, President Donald Trump brought attention to this extremely dangerous issue in the form of little Dalilah Coleman. In 2024, Dalilah, who was just five years old, was riding in a car that was hit by an 18-wheeler. She sustained serious brain injuries that she will suffer from for the rest of her life. The truck driver was an illegal immigrant from India who had entered the country in 2022 and obtained a commercial driver's license (CDL) in California, a prime offender when it comes to issuing illegal immigrants CDLs.
Now, lawmakers are taking action. On Wednesday, my colleague Bob Hoge reported that Sen. Jim Banks (R-IN) introduced the "Dalilah Law." It would prohibit any state from issuing a CDL to an illegal immigrant, revoke all current licenses held by illegal immigrants, and require that CDL knowledge and skills tests only be given in English. Banks took to social media and rightly stated, “Too many Americans have been hurt or killed. We must act now!”
This incident also got the attention of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, who stated on social media that "this dangerous trucker is now out of service." Thankfully, in Missouri, drivers are well aware of this too often deadly problem, and in this case, getting the information needed to get this driver off the road.

Update:
The Lincoln County Prosecutor has provided additional information about the matter:
Abdiasis Ibrahim Ali of Minnesota has been charged with driving the wrong direction on a divided highway and operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner.
On February 25, 2026, Ibrahim Ali was observed driving a white tractor trailer southbound while in the northbound lanes at an alarming rate of speed. A citizen who was almost struck by the driver immediately contacted law enforcement and Missouri State Highway Patrol was able to quickly respond and stop the vehicle.
During the stop, it was determined by Troopers that the driver was unable to speak proficient English by failing a Highway Traffic Sign Assessment. Ibrahim Ali was placed out of service and his co-driver, Abdulahi Abshir Alim, who was in the “sleeper” at the time, took over. CDL licenses and the company they were driving for are based out of Minnesota.
Reports were provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office this morning and a no-bond warrant for the arrest of Ibrahim Ali has been requested. This investigation is ongoing and the US Department of Transportstion and I.C.E. have been notified.
I’d like to thank the Troopers who were quick to respond to help ensure the safety of our roadways and to the citizen who stopped to provide information and video evidence of this incident to law enforcement.
