The American media has recently been the focus of a lot of criticism and backlash for their complete lack of curiosity and coverage of former President Joe Biden's mental decline. Their excuse: they never saw it, and the White House "lied" to them. Over the past few decades, the American people have been slowly figuring out not just how dishonest the legacy media is, and how selective they are in what they think people need to know, but also how they present it. The result: their bias and slanted coverage of certain stories are inciting violence.

As RedState reported late Wednesday night, two employees of the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C., were shot and killed as they were leaving an event at the Capitol Jewish Museum. Yaron Lischinsky, an Israeli citizen, and Sarah Milgrim, an American, were gunned down by a man named Elias Rodriguez of Chicago. According to reports, Rodriguez was shouting "Free Palestine!" as he was removed by police.
Ron Halber is the CEO of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Washington. In an interview with CNN, he said that, once again, the media bears some responsibility for the shooting. He stated that the incident:
“Is just an indication of what happens when you’re constantly barraged in the media with antisemitic and anti-Israel rhetoric, and it ends up self-radicalizing people."
He added:
"They think they can commit acts of violence. And, unfortunately, we’ve seen these acts of violence manifesting and growing in the United States. And, unfortunately, I don’t know if this is going to be the last one...And what happens is it builds up in people who have a tendency to become self-radicalized, and then they want to take matters into their own hands.”
Ron Halber is right, antisemitic violence has increased in the U.S., according to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). In 2024, incidents of assault increased by 21 percent, and vandalism by 20 percent. It should be no surprise that anti-Semitic violence increased on college campuses. In 2024, those incidents were a whopping 84 percent higher than in 2023. Halber also cited claims that Israel is committing genocide, which is also fuel for the fire of radicalization.

Since the horrific attacks of October 7, 2023, the legacy media has devoted a lot of time to anti-Israel pro-Hamas protests, mainly on those same college campuses. There is no shortage of coverage of people wearing keffiyehs and shouting "from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free," "Intifada! Revolution," and "by any means necessary." It is all a call to violence against Jews. Legacy media has treated anti-Israel protests with kid gloves. Last April, a CNN analyst demanded that colleges and universities "allow space for students to protest." She meant space for pro-Hamas protesters. During that same time, any coverage of threats to Jewish students on campuses all but vanished.
It's that same sort of slanted coverage and opinion being reported as fact that continues to indoctrinate people like Elias Rodriguez. The media is assisted in the indoctrination by Democrat lawmakers as well. My colleague Rusty Weiss reported on squad member Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) giving a wink and a nod to the shootings when asked about it by reporters. Her reaction to two innocent people being gunned down was, "I'm going to go for now."
Ron Halber also called for more government funding for beefing up security for Jewish institutions so they can hire more security personnel, especially those who are armed. That may be a definite need, because the media's stealth anti-semitic indoctrination shows no signs of slowing down.
