Subversive Singham Network Now Revealed As Bigger Threat Than Realized

We've reported several times (as recently as Monday, in fact) on the machinations of the Marxist businessman Neville Roy Singham, including his efforts to fund far-left American groups through a series of cutouts; laundering money, one might say. Now, on Tuesday, we learned that his efforts may be far more pervasive than previously thought.

Sam Lyman is a former senior advisor to the Treasury Department and has made statements to News Digital on the matter.

Former Treasury senior advisor and chief speechwriter Sam Lyman says the Southern District of New York's investigation into the finances behind the activist network tied to American Marxist businessman Neville Roy Singham marks one of the most significant developments yet in the federal government's scrutiny of the organization and far-left protests in the U.S.

"It's an enormous development because it's one of the first legal actions that's taking a deeper look into this network, which is among the most subversive political networks here in the United States, period," Lyman told Fox News Digital.

The new report alleges interference in AI upgrades to key infrastructure:

Lyman was reacting to Fox News Digital's exclusive report that U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton from the Southern District of New York has opened a grand jury investigation into the finances behind Singham's sprawling activist network.

The former Treasury official, who now serves as head of research at the Bitcoin Policy Institute, released a new report on Monday, first obtained by Fox News Digital, examining the Singham network's role in organizing opposition to artificial intelligence infrastructure and data center development across the country.

Researchers conclude that about $23.6 billion in proposed AI and data center investment has been delayed, scaled back or blocked in campaigns where Party for Socialism and Liberation served as "a critical mobilizer in efforts that delayed, scaled back, or blocked the proposed AI infrastructure investment."

This is alarming for a couple of reasons.

New: Trump DOJ Hammers Marxist Billionaire Singham Over China Ties, Dark Money Fraud

First: Neville Singham's group seems no longer content with funding leftist fringe groups; this appears to be an effort to hamstring the modernization of American information technology development. Need we point out that this could have national security implications?

Second: While there's a fair amount of "not in my backyard" or NIMBYism around the development of the massive data centers required for the current artificial intelligence programs, some of it is not unreasonable. So far, there are allegations that Singham's funding has helped squash or at least delay the development of at least 10 data centers.

No matter what one's opinion is as to the presence of these big installations, it seems pretty obvious that we shouldn't have a communist financier based in China spending millions to impede American development.

The ongoing investigation into Singham's funding and other activities involves cities and counties in North Carolina, Maryland, Wisconsin, California, Colorado, Arizona, Georgia, Louisiana, and Ohio. Here's one example:

One of the report's featured examples is Charlotte, N.C., where it says Party for Socialism and Liberation organizers canvassed neighborhoods, circulated petitions and helped organize demonstrations before the City Council unanimously approved a 150-day moratorium on new data centers. According to the report, organizers are now pushing for a permanent ban.

The very fact that the "Party for Socialism and Liberation," an oxymoron if ever there was one, is involved is a huge, flashing red warning light. Socialism and liberation are, after all, fundamentally opposites.

It remains to be seen where all this will lead. Neville Singham now lives in Shanghai, a place where he is probably safe from any extradition attempts. But his network can, and should be, taken down; but identifying all the heads of this Hydra may be a challenge.

There will doubtless be more developments as the investigations proceed. Stay tuned.
