We have seen far too many crimes committed by illegal aliens in the last few months. Of course, even one is one too many, especially for crimes committed by people who had no business being in the United States in the first place. But there's also the problem with insufficient screening of people who enter the United States legally, and even those who become citizens.
Case in point: One Olaolukitan Adon Abel, formerly a UK national, now a naturalized American citizen, who has been arrested in the case of a murder spree that has left two women dead. Fox News' Bill Melugin has details.

DHS confirms to FOX that one of the victims, 40-year-old Lauren Bullis, was a DHS employee who worked in the DHS Office of the Inspector General. She was found stabbed and shot to death while walking her dog.
Abel faces two counts of murder, aggravated assault, and weapons charges after police say he carried out an early morning shooting spree in three separate locations in DeKalb County, GA on Monday, shooting and killing a woman in front of a Checkers, shooting and stabbing Lauren Bullis to death while she was walking her dog, and shooting a homeless man several times in front of a shopping center. Motive is unknown.
DHS confirms that Abel had a lengthy rap sheet prior to this incident, including prior convictions for sexual battery, battery against a police officer, and assault with a deadly weapon.
So, two more people dead, another shot and injured, allegedly at the hands of a legal immigrant, allowed to naturalize during the Biden administration, and obviously, this goblin was not adequately screened. And a "UK national?" But what's interesting here is that one of the victims, 40-year-old Lauren Bullis, was an employee of the Department of Homeland Security. Did Abel know this? Was there any way he could have known this? If he were aware of Lauren Bullis's employment, this would appear to change things, from a random, senseless act of violence to a targeted act of terrorism. However, in all fairness, as of this writing, there is no indication that Abel was aware of Bullis's employment.
Even so, his rap sheet alone should have precluded him from being free to walk around loose.

A local piece by Fox5 notes that Abel has apparently waived a formal reading of warrants; his case has been referred to the superior court. He remains in police custody.

Abel faces two counts of murder, aggravated assault, and weapon possession charges.
During a court appearance Tuesday, a DeKalb magistrate judge referred the case to the superior court after Abel's defense team waived a formal reading of the warrants.
