ICE Strikes Back: Dangerous Illegals Nabbed in New Minneapolis Sweep

Minneapolis seems to be the hotspot for unhinged leftists lately. The city's government, for example, has opposed federal efforts to remove even the most dangerous illegal alien criminals. But they can oppose until the cows come home, and ICE will just go right on doing what needs to be done. In the latest news, we learn on Friday that ICE has rounded up at least 12 criminal aliens in Minneapolis, and they are nowhere near done yet.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced it has rounded up at least a dozen criminal illegal immigrants — including "child sex offenders, domestic abusers, and violent gang members" — during Operation Metro Surge in Minneapolis.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE's) latest "worst of the worst" list includes five Somali nationals, six from Mexico and one from El Salvador.

The list reads like a catalog of evil. Among the illegal aliens detained are Abdulkadir Sharif Abdi, a Somalian national who is a known member of the Vice Lord Nation gang and who has been convicted of fraud, receiving stolen property, and other charges. Two other Somali nationals in the roundup had been convicted of criminal sexual conduct with a minor, and of assault, fraud, and robbery. Two Mexican nationals caught up in the sweep have been convicted of felony smuggling and aggravated assault with a weapon.

These are the people the municipal government of Minneapolis and Governor Tim Walz want to protect.

"Sanctuary policies and politicians like Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey allowed these pedophiles, domestic terrorists, and gang members to roam the streets and terrorize Americans," DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement.

"ICE law enforcement are risking their lives to protect Minnesotans while their own elected officials sit by and do nothing. No matter when and where, ICE will find, arrest, and deport ALL criminal illegal aliens," she added.

We should also note, as Border Czar Tom Homan is continually and correctly pointing out, that these cities and their sanctuary policies make the jobs of ICE agents significantly more difficult, and more dangerous.

ICE Storm Reportedly Hits Minneapolis After Massive Somali Welfare Fraud Schemes Uncovered

What kind of crime will an illegal alien have to be convicted of before Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz will say, "Yeah, that guy has to go - ICE, come get him out of here." What will it take? An illegal alien plotting to release a biological agent into the city? An illegal alien building a nuclear weapon? An illegal alien plotting to divert a Manhattan-sized asteroid to have it hit Washington, D.C.?

Note that all the goblins mentioned above have not merely been accused of their crimes. They have been convicted. There's no more "allegedly" here. These are bad people, in the United States, in violation of immigration laws. There is simply no place for them here, and they should be repatriated immediately.

ICE is taking on a difficult task, and they are getting the job done. Minneapolis and Minnesota officials, elected and appointed, are doing everything they can to stop the effort - and increasingly unruly crowds are gathering whenever ICE sweeps in to nab yet another criminal alien. Sooner or later, something very bad will result, and the blame for any such event must be laid right at the feet of Mayor Frey and Governor Walz.
