Planning your summer vacation yet? Here's something new to take into account: On Friday, Iran's military spokesman, a goblin named General Abolfazl Shekarchi, issued a threat that popular vacation destinations in the United States and elsewhere are not beyond Iran's reach, and that those places are no longer safe.
That is, of course, if the regime still exists in its current form when the northern hemisphere's summer vacation season rolls around.
Iran threatened Friday to start targeting tourist sites worldwide — just as spring break kicked off across the United States.
Iranian military spokesman Gen. Abolfazl Shekarchi blasted out the chilling warning on state TV as he vowed that popular tourism havens would no longer be safe for Tehran’s enemies.
“From now on, based on the information we have about you, even parks, recreational areas and tourist destinations anywhere in the world will no longer be safe for you,” the military official said.
Unlike a lot of the bloviating from the Iranian regime, this threat should be taken seriously. Even if the theocratic rule of the mullahs ends before summer, just here in the United States, there are thousands of Iranian nationals who entered the country illegally during the four years of the Biden administration's non-enforcement of the border. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) have managed to round up some of them, but it's a certainty that there are more skulking around the country - and we don't know who a lot of them are, where they are, or what they are doing. And even if the mullahs' regime falls, many of these people will still be motivated to cause what trouble they can. In many cases, they may be more motivated.
Europe, where most of the formerly great nations of Western civilization remain, has been letting in all and sundry from the Third World for years now. Their headaches in this are orders of magnitude worse than ours.

He stopped short of naming specific vacation destinations that could be in Iran’s line of fire.
The threats renewed fears that Tehran could potentially revert to using militant attacks beyond the Middle East as a pressure tactic against the US and Israel.
Of course, here in the United States, we do have one advantage that Europe and most other parts of the world lack:
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
I happen to live in a place that's a very popular summer vacation spot for much of the world. My wife and I have a backhanded brag we like to tell people: "For most people, Alaska is a once- or twice-in-a-lifetime vacation. We live here." We get a lot of tourist traffic in the summers, including people from all over the world, who come here for the unparalleled scenery, the fishing, the recreational opportunities, and to just take in the vastness of the Great Land.
Alaska is also a constitutional carry state. Any terrorist goblins who decide to start something, for instance, here in the Valley, will be facing people who live in one of the states with not only a lot of gun owners, but also the highest percentage of military veterans.
Maybe some of the blue states should take a few notes.
Editor's Note: For decades, former presidents have been all talk and no action. Now, Donald Trump is eliminating the threat from Iran once and for all.
