Feel the Bern of Senator Sander's Private Jet's Massive Carbon Dioxide Output

A lot of stuff the left does is giggle-inducing, but there isn't any better entertainment at the moment than the Sanders/AOC "Fight Oligarchy" tour. The very notion of a former bartender from the Bronx and a dessicated, daffy old Bolshevik from Vermont bopping around the country on a luxury private jet to wag their fingers at people about the "oligarchy" is just too rich. In this matter I will say that AOC has one advantage over the Bern: Being a bartender is at least an honest job, something Bernie Sanders has never held once in his life; I do not count his very early, failed attempts at carpentry, because that apparently only lasted a matter of hours before he was fired.

And the notion of the daffy old Bolshevik (net worth $15 million) and AOC (net worth $13 million) lecturing us about "the right" is well to the left of ordinary hypocrisy; this is hypocrisy that sets off seismographs in Antarctica. But let's note that these two loons don't just lecture us about billionaires, nor note that they used to lecture us about millionaires until they became millionaires. They also shout about carbon outputs and climate change, and there's another flaming shower of hypocrisy for you - especially when you know the CO2 output of that private luxury jet.

As Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders continues to travel around the country on his "Fighting Oligarchy" tour, while at the same time defending his use of private jets to do so, an energy watchdog group has calculated the true scope of the carbon emissions his flights have emitted.
During the 16 stops of the tour, which Sanders embarked on with the help of progressive Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, his private jet emitted a total of 62.15 tonnes, or metric tons, of carbon dioxide, according to an estimate from Power the Future.
To put that in perspective, Power the Future said in a press release that the emissions equate to burning 62,600 pounds of coal, driving a gas-powered SUV 150,000 miles, powering every home in Sanders’ hometown of Burlington, Vermont, for weeks, and powering nine U.S. homes for an entire year.

Now this right here is funny, and that's a natural-born fact.

But wait! There's more!

"Sen. Sanders has voted for legislation punishing people for their carbon footprint and threatening fossil fuel executives with prison for climate change hysteria, but his personal actions demonstrate he’s just another limousine liberal, a fake socialist, unwilling to live what he wants to impose on you," Dan Turner, Power the Future founder and executive director, told Fox News Digital.
"The climate movement is dead, and Bernie Sanders’ hypocrisy helped kill it."

Here's the thing about socialists: They're all fakes. Just look at the net worth of any number of socialist dictators. Just look at the fortunes amassed, generally held in offshore accounts in the Cayman Islands or Switzerland. Look at the palaces; look at the old Soviet Union, where the Politburo had Zil limousines and luxury dachas along the rivers in the woods outside Moscow while their people were standing in line for the monthly potato ration.

That's socialism in a nutshell. And that's what Bernie and AOC are doing, albeit on a (slightly) smaller scale, right here.

So while we can, and should, point and laugh at these two who are, in all candor, some of the American left's dimmer bulbs, we should never forget the movement they represent - and remember that there are plenty of committed socialists who are far less clueless, and who have an eye on a luxury dacha and a Zil limousine for themselves - and a place in line for the potato ration for the rest of us.
