In his confirmation hearings, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., President Donald Trump's nominee to head up the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), has been taking a real grilling from Senate Democrats. Now, this scion of the (liberal) Kennedy family has, by and large, been giving as good as he gets. What's more, he seems to have learned a thing or two from President Trump about punching back.

I cannot get over how RFK Jr. utterly dismantled Bernie Sanders' argument that health care is a "human right" during his confirmation hearing.

Turns out that Democrats aren't just taking money from the pharmaceutical industry. They are taking metric buttloads of money from the pharmaceutical industry. (In case you're wondering, a metric buttload is 1.14 Imperial buttloads.) X user "A Midwestern Doctor" (@MidwesternDoc) has brought receipts.

Holy cow! We're talking eight figures in many cases. Now, the time scale runs from 1990 to 2024; we might note that the guy in second place, Raphael Warnock (D-GA), wasn't elected until 2021. So in three years, the reverend managed to rake in Big Pharma bucks to the tune of $14 million and change. He's in second place - and guess who's in first?

If you guessed Sen. Bernie Sanders (I), the daffy old Boshevik from Vermont, you guessed right. The pharmaceutical companies and the organizations associated with them have been feeling the Bern to the tune of $23,193,451. "Medical Societies" are the biggest donor bribers; they're into Bernie for over half that amount, $12,749,883. When Sanders claims he hasn't taken any money from Big Pharma CEOs, we should notice that he's specifying CEOs because he's taking a lot of money from the medical societies that they doubtlessly belong to.

Bernie has, of course, always lived pretty high on the hog for a socialist. But then, that's always the way with socialists, preaching for the ascendency of the proletariat and equality of outcomes for all workers while living in luxury dachas in the woods outside Moscow - excuse me, I mean in luxury lakefront mansions in Vermont.

It gets hard to keep all these Democrat hypocrites (but I repeat myself) straight - after all, they all follow that same tiresome old pattern. If it's not John Kerry lecturing us on our carbon footprints from his private jet, it's Bernie Sanders hectoring us from his lakefront estate about the rich paying their fair share. The only thing Bernie gets right about what socialism claims to be is that, despite his massive net worth, he still looks and dresses like a flood victim.

Stay tuned, folks. The confirmation hearings aren't over yet, but President Trump's nominees are surely holding their ground. And, as my grandfather was fond of saying, the Democrats are thrashing around like a bunch of 'possums in a wet sack.
