Shame on the Race Grifters Who Are Circling Like Vultures Around Nolan Wells' Death

Nolan Wells decided to celebrate this past Independence Day weekend by boating out to Horn Island, which is a barrier island off the coast of Mississippi, with a group of friends. The youngsters partied on the island with "hundreds" of others for a while, then decided to head back home when their boat developed a problem with its bilge pump.

Nolan decided to stay on the island, opting to boat back later with a different group of pals. He never came back, and the body of the 18-year-old was found July 6 off the northwest end of the island. One of the searchers who helped locate the body called that "a bad area" that "is also plagued by a dangerous “washing machine” current that “rolls ‘round and ‘round in there.” Other parts of the Gulf Coast deal with similar risks."

Not that it makes a lick of difference to anyone but a scheming, grifting few, but we need to note here that Nolan was black and the group of friends who were on the boat with him are white. And these friendships went back years, with many in the group considering each other "brothers" after years attending the same schools and playing on the same sports teams.

As often happens when a group of underage kids have been drinking and possibly imbibing illicit substances, very few have come forward to publicly recount what might've happened on the island that weekend lest they get in trouble. We know Nolan wasn't abandoned by his friends, he simply chose to catch a ride back with someone else. His friends who left before him did have his phone and keys in their possession, possibly not realizing he had left his things on the boat when they departed.

We also know Nolan had been drinking the day he disappeared, but a close friend who was with him that day said he seemed "completely fine." Warren Hudson, who considered Nolan Wells his best friend, told conservative podcaster Brandon Tatum this week that he had checked in several times with Nolan while they were on the island and everything was fine.

Police think Nolan probably drowned, but are awaiting final autopsy results.

Understandably, Nolan's grieving family is desperate for answers about what happened to their beloved boy, which makes them easy prey for those scheming, grifting few mentioned above. Like the predatory buzzards they are, in swooped race hustlers extraordinaire Ben Crump and Al Sharpton, aided by the odious Colin Kaepernick, to turn a family's private grief into a national spectacle.

The presence of Crump and Sharpton means only one thing: they're going to blame the white boys for the black boy's death ... and probably make a lot of money doing it. The grifters apparently convinced Nolan's parents to fly his body 800 miles from Mississippi to Washington, D.C., for an independent autopsy (all paid for by washed-up QB Kaepernick).

They turned up the absurdity level to 11 by choosing to release the preliminary autopsy results at the NAACP National Convention. There was even a livestream!

#BREAKING: In a crucial moment for transparency and accountability, the NAACP and renowned civil rights attorney @AttorneyCrump will hold a press conference tomorrow to announce the findings of an independent autopsy connected to the death of Nolan Wells.

Family members, legal representatives, and NAACP leadership are expected to attend.

Even though their own findings point to Nolan Wells' death likely being a tragic accident, the grifters left just enough "questions" open to keep the scam going for a while longer, despite the pain it likely causes the family.

To see a mother and father's grief exploited in such a cold, public way should churn the stomachs of every decent person out there. We should be equally disgusted at every evil inference cast on Nolan's friends, young men who are also mourning the loss of someone they loved.

Who does that kind of thing?

When the demand for racial unrest outpaces the supply, apparently you just go ahead and manufacture it, even if that means exploiting grieving parents, smearing a dead teenager’s closest friends, and turning a likely drowning into a faux civil rights spectacle.

Nolan Wells deserves better than to become another prop in America’s race-grievance industry. So do his family and the young men who loved him like a brother. Let the facts tell us what happened on Horn Island, and let us just go ahead and ignore the antics of Crump, Sharpton, Kaepernick, and anyone else with such a sick, twisted agenda.
