In this edition of "ICE Always Gets the Last Laugh," we bring you the story of Bobby Nunez, a tow truck driver from Los Angeles. Nunez thought he was oh-so-clever back on August 15, when he towed away an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) vehicle while agents were busy arresting illegal alien Tatiana Martinez. He even filmed himself laughing while driving away from the scene of the arrest, thinking he had bested federal law enforcement.
Not so fast.

Bill Essayli, Acting U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California, announced Monday morning that Nunez had been arrested for theft of U.S. government property and could face up to ten years in jail. By the looks of the video, Mr. Nunez is no longer laughing.

ARRESTED: Bobby Nunez is now under arrest for brazenly towing an ICE vehicle. He is charged with theft of government property.
Apparently he thought it would be funny to interfere with our immigration enforcement operations. Now he can laugh behind bars while he faces justice. Nunez is looking at up to 10 years in federal prison if convicted.
RedState's Jennifer Oliver O'Connell reported on what happened the day Nunez decided to interfere with federal law enforcement. ICE agents were on the ground in Los Angeles to arrest Tatiana Martinez, an illegal "influencer" who had built a small social media audience by alerting her fellow illegals to where ICE agents had been seen and signaling to protesters where they should go to interfere with arrests.

While ICE agents were busy pulling Martinez from her Tesla and placing her into federal custody, Nunez decided the right thing to do would be to tow away the agents' vehicle. Fox News' Bill Melugin retweeted Essayl's post about the arrest, and noted that Nunez laughingly recorded agents who ran after him as he towed their vehicle — a vehicle that still had the keys inside, along with a weapon in a gun safe.
NEW: According to the criminal complaint, which was signed off on by a federal judge, Nunez was laughing and recording the ICE agents on his phone while he towed their vehicle away in LA , which had the keys and a weapon in a gun safe inside. HSI used TikTok to track him down. https://t.co/I09b0VRKs3

Melugin also revealed that agents from Homeland Security Investigation (HSI), a federal law enforcement agency within the Department of Homeland Security, had used TikTok to track down and arrest Nunez. Hopefully, the clicks and likes on his video mocking federal law enforcement agents just doing their job were worth the years he'll hopefully spend in the clink.
The immigration status of Bobby Nunez was unclear at the time of publication.
Editor’s Note: Thanks to President Trump, illegal immigration into our great country has virtually stopped. Despite the radical left's lies, new legislation wasn't needed to secure our border, just a new president.
