Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the Salvadoran illegal who captured the hearts of the Democrat Party earlier this year after he was sent by the Trump administration to his home country's infamous CECOT prison, was released from custody in Tennessee Friday and is reportedly making his way to Maryland. After being returned to the United States at the behest of U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis, Abrego Garcia was imprisoned on human trafficking charges.

According to reports, the alleged MS-13 gang member now has 48 hours to make his way back to Maryland. Meanwhile, his legal team is taking a victory lap.
"Today, Kilmar Abrego Garcia is free," his attorney, Sean Hecker, told WUSA9. "He is presently en route to his family in Maryland, after being unlawfully arrested and deported, and then imprisoned, all because of the government’s vindictive attack on a man who had the courage to fight back against the Administration’s continuing assault on the rule of law. He is grateful that his access to American courts has provided meaningful due process."

Judge in Criminal Case Against Kilmar Abrego Garcia Makes Stunning Decision Regarding His Detention
Earlier this summer, Abrego Garcia's lawyers asked that their client not be released from custody because he feared "retaliation" from government officials. Said one, 'In a just world, he would not seek to prolong his detention further. And yet the government — a government that has, at all levels, told the American people that it is bringing Mr. Abrego back home to the United States to face ‘American justice’ — apparently has little interest in actually bringing this case to trial."
In preparing for their client's release, his legal team revealed they had hired a private security firm with "experience providing court-approved pre-trial transportation and security services in criminal cases" to escort him back to Maryland. They are clearly worried about federal law enforcement officials returning Abrego Garcia to federal custody.
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi has previously stated that, should he be convicted on the human smuggling charges, Abrego Garcia will first serve his prison sentence and then be deported.
Shocking Revelation About Deported 'Maryland Dad' Abrego-Garcia Finishes Off the Democrat Narrative
We are unable to confirm reports that Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) is firing up his Margaritaville machine for another round of cocktails with Abrego Garcia. Senator Van Hollen also hasn't said whether or not he will house Abrego Garcia for what is likely to be his very short stay in Maryland.
