Pink is bringing her appropriately named "Trustfall" tour to Florida this week, and, boy, does she think she's going to pull one over on Ron DeSantis!
The singer took to Instagram on Sunday to share, among other things, that she reads "banned books" — hooray, adult reads books! — and will give away 2,000 such books at her concerts in Miami and Orlando. Pink concerts are well-known for attracting young girls who go to the shows with their mothers to see Pink perform on a trapeze. Sometimes, Pink brings out her daughter to perform, which is another reason her audience will be filled with young minds just ready to be warped by being handed books that might just be kiddie porn.
First off, enough with the tired "banned books" trope from the left. There are no banned books in Florida schools; there are books deemed age-inappropriate that aren't available to children until they are older and better able to handle the content. Pink knows this, too, but being honest won't get her the waves of adoration and attention she's so clearly seeking. It's also lazy.
Secondly, if these books are banned, how did she get her hands on them? Is she some sort of modern-day, leftist version of Sam Adams, with a printing press in the basement of her gated, opulent home? Or are these books perhaps readily available to any parent who wishes to get them for their children? Emphasis on parents, not Pink, deciding on the books.
Pink failed to name which books she'd be pushing on the parents and kids at her concerts but, by golly, she's certain they are banned. Watch:
In the video, Pink is having an oh-so-informed conversation with a woman from PEN America, which bills itself as standing "at the intersection of literature and human rights to protect open expression in the United States and worldwide." They even have Pink on their front page now. The last we heard from PEN America, they were browbeating Scholastic Books into reconsidering their decision to empower local school districts to decide which books to include in elementary book fairs.
Anyway, back to Pink. Following her Instagram post, she issued a statement on Monday doubling down on her quest to put inappropriate books into the hands of young children.
“Books have held a special joy for me from the time I was a child, and that’s why I am unwilling to stand by and watch while books are banned by schools,” Pink, who was born Alecia Moore, said in a statement issued Monday.
“It’s especially hateful to see authorities take aim at books about race and racism and against LGBTQ authors and those of color,” the Grammy Award winner said.
“We have made so many strides toward equality in this country and no one should want to see this progress reversed,” she said, adding, “No more banned books.”
What is it with these weirdos? Pink is a mother herself, which makes it all the creepier that she is so hellbent on getting inappropriate materials into the hands of young kids. As the saying goes, without double standards, the left would have no standards at all.

One user noted, "Celebrities latch on to woke policies as publicity stunts to improve their brand. They don't actually care about the issue. If they did, then they would actually sit down and look at it to formulate a coherent position."
Another tweeted, "They coin these phrases that they can use to just dismiss sanity. They do the same exact thing with the chants they say, it doesn’t even need to make sense as long as it sounds good."
