Toxic Katie Porter Goes From Bad to Worse, Pathetically Tries to Explain Abusive Videos
Her attempts to clean up her toxicity are utterly lame, and she should call it a political career now and go try to sell real estate—or maybe timeshares. That would seem to be more up her alley.
Absolute Clown Show: Democrats Try to Storm Mike Johnson's Office, Accost Police Officer
Watching those videos, I can't help but wonder if they understand how ridiculous and out of touch they look. That's especially true for these screeching AWFLs who make up so much of the Democrat caucus.
Before JB Pritzker makes any more videos of himself strolling through neighborhoods, he might want to check the crime stats and, if they are low, find out why.

FBI Continues Downplaying Defensive Gun Uses
It's hard to see this undercounting as anything but an intentional effort to undermine the pro-Second Amendment argument, and it's being done on our dime as American taxpayers.
Heather Cox Richardson Is Not a Reliable Source
An actual historian might wrestle with getting this so completely wrong and drawing such firm conclusions from a false narrative spun up by progressive hacks online.
WATCH: Dana Bash Humiliates Hakeem Jeffries Over His Shutdown Theater
Jeffries has no excuse, and he knows it. When even Bash is calling out your performative victimhood routine, you’ve lost the narrative completely.
You Know This Dem Was Waiting for This Moment to Say This on CNN
I’m already seeing the ‘well, in private, people show you who they really are’ line about this story. Exactly, that means Jay Jones is a psychopath, right?
Call a Doctor! Cheryl Hines Smacks Down Whoopi Goldberg for Questioning RFK Jr.’s HHS Qualifications
That’s why she’s undefeated when it comes to amazing feats of ignorance. Knowledge is Goldberg's Kryptonite.
WHAT'S ON TAP?
Today on Capitol Hill...
Once again, no hearings or meetings set on the Hill today. The House is out, though House Democrats are busy playing at failure theater. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) seems hellbent on riding his Shutdown like some weird Swamp version of Major Kong.

White House What's Up
Fresh off his Middle East peace jaunt, President Trump had a busy Tuesday, which included a meeting and presser with Argentine President Javier Milei, followed by a moving Medal of Freedom ceremony in the Rose Garden to bestow the honor posthumously on Charlie Kirk. His Wednesday may start out a bit quieter, but he's slated to participate in a press conference with the FBI Director Kash Patel from the Oval Office at 3:00 PM Eastern — we don't yet know about what, but can expect it to be popcorn-worthy. In the evening, he hosts a "ballroom dinner" in the East Room.
Vice President JD Vance and Second Lady Usha attended the Medal of Freedom ceremony on Tuesday, as well, standing beside Erika Kirk and supporting her.

Keeping Up With the Cabinet
Sec. State - Marco Rubio — Rubio's rightly being credited for his role in the administration's foreign policy successes. On Monday, he celebrated the peace deal and thanked President Trump for his leadership.
Today is a new day in the Middle East.

Full Court Press...
Two more arguments are set to be heard before the Supreme Court on Wednesday:
- Louisiana v. Callais — (the big one on redistricting) — In this case, a majority of a three-judge court sitting in the Western District of Louisiana enjoined S.B. 8 as an unconstitutional racial gerrymander. The questions presented are:
1. Did the majority err in finding that race predominated in the Legislature's
enactment of S.B. 8?
2. Did the majority err in finding that S.B. 8 fails strict scrutiny?
3. Did the majority err in subjecting S.B. 8 to the Gingles preconditions?
4. Is this action non-justiciable? - Case v. Montana — Whether law enforcement may enter a home without a search warrant based on less than probable cause that an emergency is occurring, or whether the emergency-aid exception requires probable cause.
The courts were busy on Tuesday, playing catch-up from the long weekend. The Supreme Court issued its order list, granting certiorari in some cases and denying it in others. On three of those denials (involving parental rights, the 7th Amendment, and the death penalty), one or more justices also issued opinions/statements related to the denials.
Most of the activity in the lower courts on Tuesday was perfunctory, procedural stuff, but there was one ruling of note:
- ❌ State of Illinois v. FEMA (challenging withholding of FEMA funding for non-cooperation with immigration enforcement) — Judge William Smith (Rhode Island) GRANTS plaintiffs' motion to enforce judgment.
COMING ATTRACTIONS
President Trump is set to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House on Friday.
On Saturday, October 18, 2025, Vice President Vance will attend a 250th anniversary celebration for the United States Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton, California.
MORNING MUSING
I didn't sleep well last night, though I was exhausted when I turned in — a lot of things on my mind, I suppose. But one of the effects of that is that I'm moving slowly this morning and my eyes are gritty and tired, so I don't have a profound musing in me at the moment.
But I do have one observation I wanted to share: On Monday, we watched 20 families reunite with their loved ones after two years of torment. The tears of joy and relief in parents once again wrapping their arms around their children after all that they've been through were salve for the soul. On Tuesday, we saw Charlie Kirk honored in the Rose Garden. My heart goes out to Erika Kirk; she has a heavy load to bear. But watching that video, above, it absolutely breaks at the sight of his mother and father, grieving their son.
Makes me determined to hug my daughter a wee bit tighter when next I see her.

Editor’s Note: The Schumer Shutdown is here. Rather than put the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats forced a government shutdown for healthcare for illegals. They own this.
