There's horrific news emerging out of Moscow Friday evening as there are reports of a mass shooting in a concert hall with multiple fatalities.

MOSCOW (AP) — Several gunmen in combat fatigues burst into a big concert hall in Moscow on Friday and fired automatic weapons at the crowd, injuring an unspecified number of people, Russian media said.

Russian news reports said that the assailants also used explosives, causing a massive blaze at the Crocus City Hall on the western edge of Moscow. Video posted on social media showed huge plumes of black smoke rising over the building.

As noted in Trey Yingst's tweet, the incident follows warnings from the U.S. embassy to Americans to avoid large gatherings in the Russian capital, though it is unclear whether the warnings are related to this incident.

Video of the incident shows confusion inside the concert venue, followed by screams, and sounds of multiple gunshots.
