As RedState reported previously, four Americans were kidnapped at gunpoint in Matamoros, Mexico on Friday.
The four were traveling in a white minivan with North Carolina plates and came under fire shortly after crossing into Mexico per the FBI’s San Antonio Division office. “All four Americans were placed in a vehicle and taken from the scene by armed men,” the office said.
Tuesday morning, the Governor of Tamaulipas gave a press conference and announced the status of the four Americans.

The Tamaulipas State Attorney General’s Office said: ‘The four American citizens deprived of their liberty last Friday were found.
‘Unfortunately two are dead. Investigation and intelligence work continues to capture those responsible. Details will be given later.’
The Americans have been identified as Latavia “Tay” McGee, Shaeed Woodard, Eric James Williams, and Zindell Brown. Brown’s sister, Zalandria, said the group had headed into Mexico for one of them to obtain tummy tuck surgery from a doctor in Matamoros.
