House Democrats are continuing to beclown themselves over a mess of their own making as they seek to "move on" from the Jeffrey Epstein files congressional drama, which has landed several of their own members in hot water.
As RedState reported, the House voted Tuesday to release the files in a 427-1 vote, with the sole dissenter being Rep. Clay Higgins (LA-03). The Senate passed it via unanimous consent. Amid all of this was a failed attempt at censuring Delegate Stacey Plaskett (D-VI) after it was revealed she was texting the sexual predator and being coached on what to ask ex-Donald Trump attorney Michael Cohen during a 2019 congressional hearing.
Incredibly, but not surprisingly, Rep. Jamie Raskin (MD-08) defended Plaskett (D-VI) by suggesting Epstein was merely a random constituent of hers at the time. "They've arraigned a Democratic member for taking a phone call from her constituent, Jeffrey Epstein, in the middle of a hearing. And of course I don't think there's any rule here against taking phone calls in a hearing," Raskin insultingly proclaimed.

Not surprisingly, that defense didn't fly with any House Republican, and certainly not Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (KY-01), who ripped into Raskin but good in a Fox News interview in explaining why neither the defense nor Raskin was credible, calling him "full of crap" and noting that his hypocrisy was off the charts:
Well, I've said many times - Jamie Raskin's full of crap. He's the definition of congressional hypocrisy. Can you imagine if that were Donald Trump, or me, or some Republican that Raskin doesn't like, that was texting with Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender, who the Democrats have now become obsessed over because they hope and pray that he has something to do with Donald Trump?
If we were texting with him during a committee hearing? I mean, it's preposterous. Remember, Jamie Raskin appointed Stacey Plaskett to be an impeachment manager of Donald Trump. And here we find out she was communicating with Jeffrey Epstein in a plot to take down Donald Trump. So, for Jamie Raskin to try to defend that on the House floor in front of America is par for the course for Jamie Raskin, but it's the definition of hypocrisy.

Chairman @RepJamesComer dunks on Raskin for trying to defend Stacey Plaskett on the House floor after being caught colluding with Jeffrey Epstein.
Guess what? Raskin made Plaskett an impeachment manager to go after President Trump in 2021. pic.twitter.com/8eSou7tw2x
Comer has been on a tear over the Democrat hyperventilating about the Epstein files, recently indicating that he was prepared to have the Clintons arrested if they failed to respond to congressional subpoenas to testify.
As we also reported, Comer dropped an eye-opening surprise on Democrat House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (NY-08) on Tuesday, sharing on the House floor that in the latest batch of emails released, there was a solicitation in 2013 by a Jeffries-aligned Democrat consulting firm that asked Epstein to appear at a Jeffries aka "Brooklyn's Barack" campaign fundraiser for a possible private meeting that potentially would have also included then-President Barack Obama.
This was five years after Epstein's 2008 sex offense convictions.
👀 Maybe this is why House Democrat Leader Hakeem Jeffries refuses to condemn Democrat Rep. Plaskett for colluding with Jeffrey Epstein.👇 https://t.co/D2IsikPU0V

It definitely makes ya wonder.
