'Stella!' The Cory Booker 'Filibuster' Memes Have Arrived and They Are Hilarious

Earlier, RedState reported on the filibuster-like speech that Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) is, as of this writing, still engaged in on the Senate floor. Though it's not technically a filibuster because he's not blocking a Trump nominee or proposed legislation, Democrats and the MSM are treating it like one.

Predictably, there has been much swooning and swaying among the Usual Suspects, with the AP gushing that he "was holding the Senate floor with a marathon speech that lasted all night and well into Tuesday morning in a feat of endurance to show Democrats’ objections" to President Trump and his DOGE agenda.

“I rise with the intention of disrupting the normal business of the United States Senate for as long as I am physically able,” Booker stated at the beginning of his speech. “I rise tonight because I believe sincerely that our country is in crisis.”

While not much is going to come out of the showman senator's taxpayer-funded stunt, thankfully we can at least get a few laughs out of it thanks to the Booker memes that are circulating on social media:

Anybody remember Booker's good ol' fictional "friend" T-Bone? Yeah. Fun times.

And who could forget about Booker's infamous 2018 "Spartacus" moment during the Brett Kavanaugh Supreme Court confirmation hearings, which he just so happened to have a few months before declaring what ultimately would be a failed presidential candidacy?

The New Jersey Democrat vowed to sacrifice his seat and even compared himself to Spartacus during Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing, so important did he deem the 16-year-old emails from Kavanaugh discussing post-9/11 racial profiling as a White House lawyer. Booker pronounced the move an act of “civil disobedience” and said he was ready to face punishment, including the loss of his Senate seat.

“This is about the closest I'll probably ever have in my life to an ‘I am Spartacus’ moment,” he said.

Interestingly, Booker's "marathon speech" is taking place just a few short years after Senate Democrats waged absolute war on the filibuster while they were in the minority, calling it a racist "Jim Crow relic" that either needed to be reformed or eliminated.

Then-President Joe Biden even went so far as to equate those who opposed filibuster reform (including two Democrat Senators) to segregationist politicians from the past (some of whom he had previously bragged about working with).

Shockingly, their opinions on the subject seem to have changed. Go figure.
