'She Can Go to Hell': JD Vance Goes Beast Mode in Remarks on Afghanistan Debacle, Arlington 'Incident'

When discussing and debating an issue, at some point - depending on the seriousness and severity of the subject matter - civility and respect get thrown out the window.

Sometimes doing so is entirely warranted and sometimes it's not. In the case of the deadly Afghanistan debacle from three years ago, along with the media-driven outrage over an alleged incident that took place during Donald Trump's visit to Arlington National Cemetary Monday alongside family members of those whose lives were stolen during the Abbey Gate bombing, I'd say it's absolutely warranted.

As RedState previously reported, the press is in full-blown "get Trump" mode after the GOP presidential nominee paid tribute to the 13 U.S. servicemembers lost during the Biden-Harris administration's botched August 2021 withdrawal with loved ones of the fallen, smiling and posing for photos.

While several family members issued statements thanking Trump for his presence there and the respect shown, the press has tried to turn it into a scandal due in part to an alleged incident that that allegedly turned physical between two Trump campaign staff members and a cemetery official after they were supposedly asked "not to film or photograph where recent U.S. casualties are buried."

The Trump campaign has pushed back on the claims made by the anonymous source, but in remarks made at a campaign event in Erie, Pennsylvania, Trump's vice presidential nominee, Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) did not hold back when asked about Arlington, stating that the real scandals are Kamala Harris' running mate Tim Walz's false claims about his military record and the fact that the Biden-Harris administration has held no one accountable for the deaths of our men and women in uniform that happened that day:

“Three years ago, 13 brave, innocent Americans died, and they died because Kamala Harris refused to do her job, and there hasn’t been a single investigation or a single firing,” Vance said. “Sometimes mistakes happen — that’s just the nature of government, the nature of military service. But to have those 13 Americans lose their lives and not fire a single person is disgraceful. Kamala Harris is disgraceful.”

Vance said that if they’re going to discuss a story related to Abbey Gate, “It’s that Kamala Harris is so asleep at the wheel that she won’t even do an investigation into what happened, and she wants to yell at Donald Trump because he showed up. She can, she can go to hell.”

Watch:

As per the norm, NBC News is among the media outlets who are focusing on the fact that Vance's rhetoric towards Harris was "harsh," going with the following headline: "Vance blasts Harris over Afghanistan withdrawal in harshest rhetoric so far."

Oh, boohoo.

But again, as I said earlier, there are topics where at a certain point showing civility and respect isn't an option anymore, and the Afghanistan withdrawal and the lives lost from it is one of them. It's a crying shame that three years out, there has been exactly zero accountability, and to make it worse, the "last person in the room" on the decision - Kamala Harris - thinks she has what it takes to be Commander in Chief.

As far as I'm concerned, that issue alone should be enough for voters to veto her presidential run come November, which would be the most devastating punishment she and the Biden-Harris administration could receive.
