Kathy Hochul Gets Deservedly Mocked After Sending Very Unwelcoming Message to Illegal Immigrants

It has been absolutely fascinating watching the near-complete 180 pro-sanctuary city/state Democrats have done on the issue of illegal immigration and open borders since red state governors started busing them to blue states.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, of course, started the trend in April 2022 and soon after, then-Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey followed suit. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis also triggered open borders Democrats when he pushed back on the Biden administration flying illegal immigrants into his state in the dead of night by sending them up north to wealthy liberal enclaves like Martha's Vineyard.

The result has been an epic collective wailing and gnashing of teeth from New York City Mayor Eric Adams, Washington, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser, Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey, and California Gov. Gavin Newsom among others, with lawsuits filed in some instances over allegations of trickery and even "kidnapping."

New York's Democrat Gov. Kathy Hochul, who has been trying (and failing) her best to look like a competent "leader" during the illegal immigrant crisis in the Empire State, sat down for an interview Wednesday with CNN, where she promptly proceeded to yank the welcome mat out from under the feet of the illegal immigrants who have been bused there:

"We have to let the word out that when you come to New York, we’re not going to have more hotel rooms. We don’t have capacity. So we have to also message properly that we’re at our limit. If you’re going to leave your country, go somewhere else. But the smarter thing is to apply for asylum before you leave your country..."

She also declared that there are "limits" to what New York can do even though Democrats "have large hearts" and "want to be generous."

In turn, Hochul was deservedly mocked.

"Wow someone sure sounds like a racist Republican!" quipped Townhall.com editor Katie Pavlich.

Another asked, "Where can I donate to get Texas more buses??"

Somewhere, Abbott, DeSantis, and other GOP governors who have for years had to deal with this issue on a daily basis have to be nodding approvingly over the knowledge that their plan to give these Democrat-run places a slice of what their own states have had to go through due to the disastrous porous border policies of the Biden administration is bearing fruit, chiefly by way of bringing the type of national press attention to a desperate ongoing situation that legacy media outlets typically either ignore or gloss over.
