It sounds like the Democrats in Washington, D.C., are finally getting that having illegal aliens flood your city could present a small problem.

As we reported, Mayor Muriel Bowser whined on “Face the Nation” that Texas and Arizona shipping busloads of migrants to D.C. was creating a strain on her city, and that their homeless shelters were being overwhelmed. She also complained that the illegal aliens were being “tricked” somehow to go on the bus to D.C. — does she think people have to be tricked to want to go to D.C.?

Now, Bowser is demanding that the D.C. National Guard be activated indefinitely to help with migrant buses arriving in DC. Calling it a “humanitarian crisis” that has reached a “tipping point,” with 4,000 migrants so far. She’s also requesting the D.C. Armory to be used as a processing center to deal with the illegal aliens.

She wants it now, although she didn’t want it when it was offered before Jan. 6.

D.C. is a sanctuary city, but she didn’t consider what that might truly mean until now.

Bowser has also apparently found out what it’s like to have the Biden team blow you off, as has happened to the border states.

Bowser and the D.C. Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency initially sent letters to the Office of the Secretary of Defense in a letter on July 19 and to President Joe Biden on July 22. Neither letter has received an answer, according to NBC.

But Republicans had a few things to say to Bowser, now that she realizes what a strain on the system in D.C. just 4,000 illegal aliens can be.

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey said that Bowser should try dealing with more than ten times that–in June alone.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said, “Washington D.C. finally understands what Texans have been dealing with every single day, as our communities are overrun by thousands of illegal immigrants,” and that the true humanitarian crisis was at the southern border.

The House Judiciary GOP Twitter account said that Bowser acknowledged by her request all the impact that the influx of illegal aliens is having on every system including schools, healthcare, infrastructure, inflation, rents, crime, and government resources.

By doing this, Mayor Bowser is basically acknowledging that illegal aliens have a big impact on:

-Schools
-Healthcare systems
-Infrastructure
-Jobs
-Inflation
-Rents
-Crime
-Government resources

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) let loose, saying, “If 4000 is a tipping point, what the hell do you call the THREE & A HALF MILLION illegal immigrants who’ve crossed our southern border??

Cities in Texas and Arizona have had to deal with this flood of millions now for years, with far more than 4,000 overrunning small towns with far fewer resources than D.C.

Ducey called on Bowser to join the Republicans in truly addressing the issue — by stopping the flow across the border.

If the Mayor really wants to address the issue, she can join us in calling for President Biden to take action at the root of the problem, and secure our southern border.

Of course, she wouldn’t go there, even with the problem that she now has in her backyard. But, it looks like Abbott’s plan has succeeded.
