Stories of Vice President Kamala Harris’ warped priorities have become so common over the last 20 or so months since she was sworn into office that it almost seems redundant to report them. But report on them we must because not only is she Joe Biden’s second in command but in the event he decides not to run again in 2024, Harris will become the “heir apparent” of sorts, although potential Democratic competitors are already making their intentions known behind the scenes.
When last we left you, sources told the New York Post that there were no plans on her calendar to visit the southern border this coming Saturday ahead of nor after her scheduled appearance at a swanky fundraiser for Texas Democrats. This is despite the fact that Biden made her his point person on the border crisis in March 2021, which like a lot of decisions he’s made turned out to be disastrous.
In a predictable yet infuriating update to this story, it is being reported that Harris is also set to appear on Seth Meyers’ late-night show on Monday for the type of fawning “interview” Democrats who are preparing for an electoral drubbing love to do one month out before an election:
The interview is a rare late-night appearance for Harris. Since taking office, she’s only appeared on one other late-night show, Comedy Central’s “Tha God’s Honest Truth,” last December.
Harris made headlines during that appearance after engaging in a tense exchange with host Charlamagne Tha God when he suggested that Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) was the country’s “real president.”
The show is already been promoted on the “Late Night with Seth Meyers” Twitter account:

As we’ve noted before, Harris’ priorities were questioned even by some in the MSM during her first year as “border czar” for Joe Biden, including after she was seen at a New Jersey bakery in mid-October a year ago sampling sweet treats at the same time DHS Sec. Mayorkas and other senior members of the administration were holding critical high-level talks with Mexico’s president about the border crisis.
It wasn’t the first time Harris was seen laughing it up in the midst of the crisis. Just a week or so after Biden had announced her border role, and as the situation at the border continued to deteriorate, Harris was spotted at a Chicago bakery. When asked why Harris was at the bakery and not visiting the border, then-White House press secretary Jen Psaki incredibly said that Harris was “allowed” a snack like other people were, which completely ignored the obvious point about how bad the optics were for the Biden White House.
Harris didn’t actually “visit” the border until two months later, but only after being upstaged on the issue after former President Donald Trump announced his own visit at the invitation of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.
Even then, the “visit” Harris made was to the El Paso airport as well as a border patrol facility nine miles from the actual border. The trip was not well-received by the locals, and understandably so considering it was little more than a photo-op.
And speaking of priorities, as of this writing, Joe Biden has yet to visit the border. Not as president, not as vice president under Barack Obama, and not during his decades-long career as a United States senator. Just sayin’.
