A beloved teacher in Savannah, Georgia, was killed Monday morning when a vehicle driven by a Guatemalan national, who was fleeing from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents during an attempted apprehension, crashed into her car.

Thus far, there have been no leftist riots or calls to say her name.

Dr. Linda Davis, a special education teacher at Hesse K-8 School, was pronounced dead after the collision, which occurred very near the opening bell time.

The suspect, 38-year-old Oscar Vasquez Lopez—who entered the U.S. illegally and had received a final order of removal in 2024 under former President Joe Biden—initially pulled over, but then took off, prompting ICE agents to give chase.

Security footage posted by WTOC shows Lopez traveling at a high rate of speed. He ran a red light and struck Davis's vehicle. Lopez suffered non-life-threatening injuries, while Davis was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

To nobody's surprise, but no less reprehensible, anti-law enforcement zealots are blaming ICE and/or President Trump. Not the actual illegal.

Chatham County Chairman Chester Ellis, a Democrat, told local media that he wished ICE had notified them that it was attempting to detain Mr. Lopez, as something could have been worked out.

“I’m saying to the President, on down to all of our national leaders, there’s a better way to do this. And I think if you allow us to be at the table to draw out strategies and come up with ways of doing things, we can prevent this,” he said.

Also, be sure to note the video clip above in which the local ABC affiliate chyron refers to the incident as a "deadly ICE crash."

No, it's a deadly crash caused by an illegal.

ICE immediately fired back at the false framing of the story in an X post on Tuesday morning, responding to claims from a social media marketing professional that they had "killed" the teacher, a blatant falsehood.

"This is an utterly disgusting lie," they wrote. "This tragic loss of life at the hands of someone who shouldn't be here could have been prevented. Our prayers are with the Savannah, GA, community and the family of Linda Davis."

DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin also spoke out against the disinformation, which is sure to blow up into a national media story.

“This vehicular homicide is an absolute tragedy and deadly consequence of politicians and the media constantly demonizing ICE officers and encouraging those here illegally to resist arrest—a felony,” McLaughlin said. “These dangerous tactics are putting people’s lives at risk."

"Fleeing from and resisting federal law enforcement is not only a crime but extraordinarily dangerous and puts oneself, our officers, and innocent civilians at risk. Now, an innocent bystander has lost their life.”

An innocent teacher lost her life. Where are the protests against illegals? Against Democrats who support illegals and have actively encouraged them to avoid or even resist arrest? Against Joe Biden, who allowed millions of them to invade this country?

Editor’s Note: Democrat politicians and their radical supporters will do everything they can to interfere with and threaten ICE agents enforcing our immigration laws.
