In remarks he referred to as "probably breaking news," President Trump told the World Economic Forum (WEF) on Wednesday that prosecutions are imminent over what he describes as the "rigged" 2020 presidential election.
Speaking to an international audience of leaders and executives in Davos, Switzerland, Trump veered into familiar territory on election integrity following a contest that saw Joe Biden, the man with all the charisma of a bowl of pudding and a brain of equal consistency, get over 81 million votes.
The President had been remarking on Russia's invasion of Ukraine, something he long contends would never have happened on his watch. He then dropped a bit of a bombshell.
"It wouldn't have started if the 2020 U.S. presidential election weren't rigged," he told the crowd. "It was a rigged election. Everybody now knows that. They found out. People will soon be prosecuted for what they did."
"That's probably breaking news, but it should be—it was a rigged election, can't have rigged elections."

Trump offered no specifics on potential targets or timelines. But he has repeatedly alleged widespread fraud in that election. Such claims landed him in legal peril as the Biden administration attempted to jail him for questioning the integrity of the election.
The off-script moment drew immediate attention. Also drawing attention were his comments on Greenland. There was massive anticipation for the president's appearance at Davos due to his aggressive push to acquire Greenland. On that matter, he made headlines by ruling out the use of military force.
"We probably won’t get anything, unless I decide to use excessive strength and force, where we would be frankly unstoppable—but I won’t do that," said Trump. "Now, everyone's saying, 'Oh, good.'"
"That's probably the biggest statement I've made. Because people thought I would use force. But I don't have to use force. I don't want to use force," he added. "I won't use force. All the United States is asking for is a place called Greenland."

President Trump went on to suggest military action on Greenland was overblown.
"They have a choice: You can say yes, and we will be very appreciative, or you can say no, and we will remember," he declared.
Still, he pressed for immediate negotiations and framed the United States as the sole capable protector and developer of the strategic Arctic landmass. Trump insists that Denmark faces a choice between cooperation and lasting consequences.
"It's the United States alone that can protect this giant piece of land, this giant piece of ice, develop it and improve it," Trump said.
The President views Greenland as of key strategic significance in defending America against threats from Russia or China.
"That’s all we want from Denmark," he added. "For national and international security, and to keep our very energetic and dangerous potential enemies at bay, is this land on which we’re going to build the greatest golden dome ever built."

President Trump addressed the forum for over 72 minutes, touting America's economic dominance and rapid turnaround under his leadership. He declared inflation defeated, boasted of explosive growth, predicted an impending stock market explosion, and touted cheap energy from fossil fuels and nuclear power over the "green new scam."
Overall, his speech continued his "America First" agenda, likely to the dismay of European leaders.
