Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, a 31-year-old Mexican national with a history of violent criminal charges, has been deported from the United States despite Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan allegedly helping him exit her courtroom through a side door in April.

Dugan is accused of trying to help Flores-Ruiz, who, according to DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin, has a rap sheet including “strangulation and suffocation, battery and domestic abuse," evade ICE agents.

She has since been indicted on charges of obstructing a proceeding and concealing an individual to prevent their arrest. Dugan was also temporarily suspended by the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

It seems her attempts to aid and abet a violent criminal, an illegal alien, have been for nought.

Flores-Ruiz has been sent packing. Adiós, Felicia.

Jonathan Turley Expertly Dismantles Wisconsin Judge's 'Immunity' Defense After Video Evidence Goes Public

"The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the removal of Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico who was arrested in April, despite a judge attempting to help him evade arrest," a press release on the department website reads.

McLaughlin touted DHS efforts to remove the man.

"Thanks to the brave men and women of ICE law enforcement, this criminal is OUT of our country. If you are here illegally and break the law, we will hunt you down, arrest you, and remove you from our country," she stated. "That's a promise.”

Promises made, promises kept.

The press release and social media posts from DHS repeatedly take shots at Dugan, reminding her that her alleged efforts to thwart the removal of a dangerous criminal backfired in spectacular fashion.

"Judge Hannah Dugan's actions to obstruct this violent criminal’s arrest take 'activist judge' to a whole new meaning,” McLaughlin observed.

As RedState’s Nick Arama reported in May, Dugan was caught red-handed on videotape, seemingly brazenly breaking the law.

"Judge Dugan intentionally directed ICE agents away from this criminal illegal alien to obstruct the arrest and try to help him evade arrest," the DHS release contends. "Thankfully, our law enforcement chased down this violent illegal alien and arrested him."

That's a fail for the judge on multiple levels.

A federal grand jury indicted Dugan in May on the aforementioned charges. Her legal defense is that "she is entitled to judicial immunity for her official acts," something George Washington Law School Professor Jonathan Turley has dismissed as "hard to understand."

U.S. District Judge Lynne Adelman later rejected a motion for dismissal. Her trial is scheduled to begin in mid-December.

The charges could result in the activist judge facing up to six years in prison and a maximum fine of $350,000.

Possible prison time, and at the very least, the headache of a trial, not to mention legal fees and a potential fine for Dugan. And the criminal she tried to help escape has been deported anyway.

Nice work. Hope it was worth it.
