You probably remember Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan, the genius who thought it would be a good idea to hide an illegal alien in her courthouse and help him escape through a side door when ICE agents came to nab him. Unfortunately for her, she was caught on tape, and a federal grand jury indicted her in May on two charges, which could cost her up to six years in prison and a maximum fine of $350,000. She was also temporarily removed from the bench by the Wisconsin Supreme Court until the case is resolved.
Her defense messaging has been ludicrous, as she's claimed she had some sort of magic judicial immunity for her "official acts."
On Tuesday, the news just got worse for Dugan as a U.S. District Judge rejected her motion for dismissal:
U.S. District Judge Lynne Adelman on Tuesday rejected Dugan's motion. A magistrate judge in July had recommended the case proceed. Adelman’s decision could be appealed to the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. Attorneys for Dugan had no immediate comment.
Dugan has pleaded not guilty to helping the man in the country illegally try to evade authorities. No trial date has been set…
The case highlighted a clash between President Donald Trump’s administration and local authorities over the Republican’s sweeping immigration crackdown.

Video Released of Judge Hannah Dugan's Alleged Encounter With ICE Agents
Dugan decided it would be a good idea to take the law into her own hands:
Dugan is charged with concealing an individual to prevent arrest, a misdemeanor, and obstruction, which is a felony. Prosecutors say she escorted Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, 31, and his lawyer out of her courtroom through a back door on April 18 after learning that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents were in the courthouse seeking to arrest him for being in the country without permanent legal status.
Agents arrested Flores-Ruiz outside the courthouse after a brief foot chase.
As RedState’s Nick Arama reported in May, Dugan was caught red-handed on videotape apparently breaking the law:
The Clinton-appointed judge was not swayed by Dugan’s arguments that she was acting in an official capacity:
“There is no basis for granting immunity simply because some of the allegations in the indictment describe conduct that could be considered ‘part of a judge’s job,’” Judge Adelman wrote.
Dugan's lawyers, however, maintained her innocence in a statement after the ruling came down: “We look forward to the trial which will show Judge Dugan did nothing wrong and simply treated this case like any other in front of her courtroom.”
Attorney General Pam Bondi had other thoughts, though, and said in a statement about the case in May: "It doesn’t matter what line of work you are in, if you break the law, we will follow the facts and we will prosecute you."
The next court date is scheduled for September 3. We’ll see if Judge Dugan “finds out.”
Thanks to President Trump, illegal immigration into our great country has virtually stopped. Despite the radical left's lies, new legislation wasn't needed to secure our border, just a new president.
