Texas heard that the Biden administration was auctioning off parts of the border wall, so they decided to grab their little paddle and a fist full of cash and get to bidding.
Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick made the announcement during an appearance with Fox News host Laura Ingraham on Thursday night.
"I don't know if you've heard the latest today, Laura, but Joe Biden is now hauling off the border wall that's been lying down for years, and he wants to auction it off starting at $5 apiece," Patrick revealed.
"Message to the White House right now," he added. "I will bid on all of that wall, and we will buy it in Texas, and we will give it to Donald Trump."

Video posted by the Daily Wire shows numerous flatbed trucks hauling away dismantled sections of the border wall near Tucson, Arizona.
"The Biden administration is using its final weeks to haul a massive amount of border wall materials away from the southern border to be sold off in a government auction, an apparent effort to hinder President-elect Donald Trump’s effort to secure the border," the outlet writes.

The Daily Wire also published screenshots of the materials being sold on GovPlanet, a surplus government equipment auction marketplace.
A US Customs and Border Agent alleges that the wall sections are being removed from three separate locations in Arizona: Nogales, Tucson, and Three Points.

Much like a majority of Biden's term, it's doubtful the president had the mental capacity to devise such a plan, and this is a move put together by bitter young aides in the administration. It's petty. It's spiteful. It has all the feels of Bill Clinton's staff removing the "W" from their keyboards before George W. Bush entered the White House.
Patrick, though, is aiming to outsmart them. And, as the man behind the Lone Star State's budget, he's got some money to work with. Plenty of money for those $5 border wall sections.
Ingraham expressed concern that Patrick might drive up the price by making it clear that Texas is in the market for some border wall. No matter, he's got some extra in the ol' petty cash box.
"I've got a billion dollars in my pocket to do it," he said, later adding, "We're gonna have about $6 billion in our budget for border security. We'll buy it."
"I will go in and buy it all."
Patrick went on to call the move by the Biden administration to auction off pieces of the border wall paid for by the American taxpayer as "despicable."
He also suggested having authorities pull the trucks over to make sure their payloads don't exceed regulations.
