Three years ago George H.W. Bush, going along with his entire Secret Service detail, shaved his head in a show of support for the son of one of the men who protects him each day. Patrick was just two when doctors discovered the boy had cancer.
On Tuesday, the 41st president posted a new photo with Patrick, who is in remission, both sporting full heads of hair.
Incredibly #thankful that my friend Patrick, the courageous young man (with hair!) to my left, is feeling and doing much better these days. pic.twitter.com/HsPzUCu2iR

The president isn’t unfamiliar with the heartbreak of watching a child go through cancer. He and his wife, Barbara, lost their daughter, Robin, to leukemia in 1953 when she was only three-years-old.
