How bad is the situation in Iran?

People are questioning the status of their Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei. We reported earlier how the regime is scrambling, pulling out a "for the first time" released video. Except that was a demonstrable lie since it was released in March and is believed to be from before the war. So that doesn't exactly calm concerns. Indeed, it shows there really is a problem if they can't produce him, or even a credible video that would demonstrate he was currently alive.

But we've also reported on how bad the economy has been there, with inflation through the roof.

The U.S. is keeping the pressure up with the naval blockade as well as Operation Economic Fury involving sanctions and seizing money from the regime.

Fox's Trey Yingst has confirmed that some of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) are not getting paid, in addition to their fear of U.S. strikes. Yingst spoke about how the intelligence was so good they could see the soldiers on the ground fleeing their posts as the U.S. airstrikes hit during Operation Epic Fury.

"So you have a position now where not only are the Iranians afraid of the U.S. strikes that could take place, But also they're not getting paid in some cases. And it raises questions about the morale inside the IRGC and the willingness of these ground soldiers to continue the fight, if they are ordered by commanders in Iran."

Then at the end there, Brian Kilmeade tosses in another fact about people selling their hair.

He's not kidding.

Iranian households are increasingly selling personal belongings ranging from natural hair to empty perfume bottles and renting out or borrowing basic work tools such as laptops, reflecting deepening economic hardship, the semi-official ILNA news agency reported on Sunday.
The report described the trend as the emergence of a "survival economy," in which even the smallest household possessions have become tradable assets as families struggle with soaring inflation and shrinking purchasing power. [....]
The report follows other recent signs of mounting financial pressure, including the spread of installment payments for healthcare and pharmaceuticals, as many Iranian families struggle to cover everyday expenses.

As we reported previously, there were also reports of people stealing food because they couldn't afford to buy it due to inflation. Even Pezeshkian admitted there were "difficulties" and "problems" with the economy.

I think those are some pretty big signs of a crash-out coming. The only question might be just how quickly, as all these indications start to drop.
