We've been talking about the extremism infecting the Democrat Party.
But it isn't just the unhinged radicals in New York City or deep blue areas.
There's a new survey that indicates just how severe the problem is.
About a third of Democrats identify as democratic socialists, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS, showing the growing influence of the party’s progressive wing.
While they make up the minority of the party, the survey found that they are among Democrats’ most loyal supporters and are more likely than other Democrats to favor sweeping changes to party leadership and direction.
One-third is a huge amount. That's not just a fringe or a random radical - that's a huge part of the Democrat Party.
Because they are the loud, squeaky wheels, they are the ones animating the direction of the party.
They also reported higher levels of enthusiasm ahead of this year’s midterm elections. Among respondents who are registered voters, 66 percent of democratic socialists said they are extremely motivated to vote, compared with 57 percent of other Democrats. [....]
The emerging subset is also more likely to support changes to the party’s current leadership, nominating younger candidates and moving the party further to the left on policy issues.
But in another recent poll, the majority of voters (not just Democrats), 51 percent, said that socialism has no beneficial beliefs. I'm inclined to think that's an undercount.
In other words, while Democrats are racing to the radical left, they're heading right off a cliff because the majority of Americans don't think there's anything beneficial about it.
Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) was asked about the poll during an appearance on CNN. His answer exactly showed the problem for Democrats. Anchor Erin Burnett told him just over one-third - 34 percent - identified as democratic socialist, and about 60 percent of those people are younger than 45.
"Are you on board with it?" she asked him. "Do you accept that this is where your party is going, and are you good with it?"
Adam Schiff is fine with the Socialist takeover of his party if it means Democrats will win.

“I would rather be in that big tent in the majority than be a smaller party that is stuck forever in the minority," Schiff said.
Yet, you are not in the majority, and with those radical ideas, you will be driving yourselves even further into the minority.
So the Republicans need to keep driving it home - this is who the Democrats are now - there is no daylight. Show the video of the unhinged things the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) national co-chair said they believed in.
DSA Co-Chair Megan Romer confirms their platform includes:

The Republicans need to run that on a loop, over and over, as they also say what they will be doing for the economy and other vital issues.
