Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday to attend the funeral of Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and to meet with President Donald Trump.

Both sides termed the meeting "productive," with a shared commitment to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon. Netanyahu's communication director, Tzipi Hotovely, said among the other things discussed was Saudi Arabia normalizing relations with Israel

Then Netanyahu later gave an interview to Fox's Sean Hannity. Hannity asked him about the meeting.

"It was great. One of the best meetings that we've had," Netanyahu said.

"I always hate to disappoint our would-be critics who are trying to find, you know, cracks in our alliance. And what they find, like today, is a wall of granite, because the president is so clear. I mean, he's so...we have a common commitment. We don't want to see this fanatic regime in Tehran have nuclear weapons to threaten every American, and to threaten the peace of the world, and to threaten Israel."

"We have a common goal, and it's gonna be achieved, either through diplomatic means, or other means"

Netanyahu pointed to what Iran was doing now to its neighbors, attacking them and its own people, when Iran doesn't have nuclear weapons.

"Now, imagine they had nuclear weapons," he said.

Then Netanyahu clapped back at New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani's attacks and desire to have him arrested. He thumbed his nose at Mamdani, saying that wasn't going to stop him from going to New York.

“First of all, I’m going to New York," Netanyahu declared, about his expected trip to the UN General Assembly, which Mamdani had been referencing.

"I'm definitely going there. I'm going to speak the truth in front of this hate-spewing elected official who's pitting one group of New Yorkers against the others. He’s turning them against New York Jews. I mean, what are we, in the 1930s? So much hate. So many lies."

That puts Mamdani in his place. Netanyahu wasn't going to let Mamdani and the radical leftists scare him off.

So grab the popcorn for that visit in September; that's likely to have the purple-haired leftists shrieking in anger.

Editor’s Note: New York City is now facing the consequences of Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s socialist takeover.
