There was an explosion outside of 26 Federal Plaza in New York City Monday morning. That building houses dozens of agencies, including the FBI, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

NYPD tells FOX there was a "found firearm" in relation to this event, but couldn't confirm if it was found on the suspect.

CBS said preliminary information indicated it was "fireworks placed in a garbage can," and the Fire Department was able to put out the flames. It is believed that no shots were fired.
