Priceless: Lee Zeldin Drops the Receipts on Rosa DeLauro in Fiery Budget Hearing Exchange

Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin testified before the House Appropriations subcommittee on the Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies on Monday regarding the Trump administration's 2027 budget request.

The agency wants to cut the budget essentially in half. But Democrats don't want to do that.

During the hearing, Democrat Rep. Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) got heated over what she felt was the administration not paying enough attention to climate change. That's when Zeldin took her to school, explaining he had to pay attention to the law (not Democrat agenda items).

Nothing infuriates an uninformed Congressional Dem more than when they realize they voluntarily triggered a debate with someone who actually knows what they are talking about, reads federal statute and adheres to Supreme Court precedent. Today’s self-implosion by @rosadelauro was quite remarkable to witness. Without apology or regret, I will always adhere to the best available reading of federal statute pursuant to the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Loper Bright.

“Section 202 of the Clean Air Act, where does this say anything about fighting global climate change?” he said.

Zeldin explained how the case of Loper Bright vs. Raimondo "doesn't allow us to get creative." He asked why she wasn't familiar with this and other cases/doctrines as a member of Congress, since they informed what they were talking about and what she was supposed to be making decisions about.

But she just lost it, claiming that he didn't have the right to "claim climate change does not exist." She started shrieking that he should "wait for the question, and answer the question!"

Zeldin said he answered it, but she just didn't like the answer. He was remarkably calm as she continued to melt down and call him a "climate denier." The lady sitting next to her gave her quite a look at the 1:57 mark of the video. DeLauro said she didn't have to "listen to this B.S." Zeldin reminded her she did have to pay attention to the law.

But DeLauro wasn't quite done with the tantrum yet. She said, "Glyphosate."

When you don’t have anything good to say, some advise to just not say anything at all. As for @rosadelauro, she apparently believes that when you don’t have anything good to say, you should instruct the person you are debating to kill themself.

When Zeldin told her he would advise her not to drink the herbicide, she replied that maybe he should drink it.

That's when the lady next to her put her head in her hands and said, "Whoa!"

That's what he means by she was telling him to kill himself.

Haven't we just been talking about how the Democrats need to tone down their dangerous rhetoric, and here she's saying that? Not a good look for a member of Congress. She owes him an apology.

The White House account had a final word.

Editor's Note: The Democrat Party has never been less popular as voters reject its globalist agenda.
