The Iranian regime is an evil death cult that tends to keep shooting itself in the foot with every move.
So I have to admit to laughing at some of the absurdities that they push to try to spin the dire position they are in with the United States, which presently has them in a chokehold blockade with a lot of forces waiting in the wings.
One of their basic problems is their fractured leadership, which makes it difficult to know who's in charge and with whom you could make a deal. Not to mention whether any of those leaders would even be trustworthy.
It's a problem that comes down from the top, starting with their absent, never-seen cardboard Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei. Even Iranians are questioning why there aren't new pictures or videos of him. So the excuse that one member of Parliament gave for the absence of such pictures is downright hilarious.
A member of Iran’s parliament said authorities have decided not to release any new images or materials related to Mojtaba Khamenei, citing concerns over “occult sciences” and unconventional methods that could be used against him.
“Based on the opinion of scholars in Najaf, Qom and Mashhad and the decision of security officials, no new images or materials of him will be released for now so that enemies cannot harm him through particular methods and occult sciences,” said Salar Velayatmadar, a member of the National Security Commission, claiming that such sciences and methods are studied in institutions including those in Tel Aviv.
What do they think is going to happen? Voodoo? Are we going to put his picture up and throw darts at it?
It's truly dumb, but it's a funny excuse, so we can laugh at them more. And we have the old pictures that we can mock and make into cardboard memes.
Velayatmadar also tried to downplay Khamenei's injuries. He said that Khamenei was "conscious and reciting prayers when he was pulled from under rubble following the February 28 attack."
“His injuries were superficial,” Velayatmadar said, adding that the attending physician had confirmed he suffered no fractures and that his body was otherwise unharmed.
But it seems like Iranian officials can't even seem to agree on what his injuries were.
Khamenei, 56, “has not recorded a video or audio message … because he does not want to appear vulnerable or sound weak,” four Iranian officials told the New York Times, adding that one of Khamenei’s legs has been “operated on three times, and he is awaiting a prosthetic,” while he also has had surgery on a hand.
“His face and lips have been burned severely, making it difficult for him to speak [and] he will need plastic surgery,” the Times reported.
“Senior government officials do not visit him, fearing that Israel may trace them to him and kill him,” according to the report, which said most decision-making is being delegated to generals, rather than civilian political leaders.
So which is it? Occult, burns, or he's really dead, and they're trying to figure out what to do? Are they going to rebuild him, swap in someone, and claim it's him? And if everything is being done through such a stilted process, no wonder they're in such disarray.
Bottom line? Even with security questions, if he were alive and coherent, you could put out a video of him. If you don't, it's because you can't.
