It looks like another Iranian leader just got eliminated. This one was important when it comes to the Strait of Hormuz and any potential U.S. action to secure it.
Alireza Tangsiri was the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) naval chief, in charge of their efforts in the Strait of Hormuz.

He and other aides were reportedly at a covert naval command center in Bandar Abbas. They were allegedly hit by a precision strike, based on U.S. and Israeli intelligence. Some of the aides were reportedly taken out as well.
“In response to the order of the commander-in-chief, we will deliver the harshest blows to the aggressor enemy while maintaining the strategy of closing the Strait of Hormuz,” Tangsiri had said.
The Israelis confirmed it and said this was a lesson to the IRGC.

“This is a clear message to all senior members of the Iranian terrorist organization, the Revolutionary Guards that currently controls Iran: The IDF will hunt you down and eliminate you one by one. Congratulations to the IDF on the flawless execution,” the minister said.
He also said they were trying to show their assistance to the U.S. in the effort to open the Strait.
I'm thinking that's going to put a big crimp in any plans they might have to defend the Strait, if an attack comes. If they don't take a deal, a lot of them are likely to meet a similar fate.
Last week, he threatened retaliation against US facilities in the region, warning civilians and workers to stay away.
"Our list of targets is updated. Oil facilities associated with America are now on par with American bases and will come under fire with full force," Tangsiri said at the time.
The US has said repeatedly that eliminating Iran's naval capabilities was a top priority. Since the war began, the US is believed to have taken out around 100 vessels used by the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy and the IRGC.
