The U.S. and Israel have taken out a lot of the Iranian regime's leaders.
The latest was the Iranian intelligence chief Esmail Khatib, who bragged in 2024 that his proudest achievement was dismantling the Mossad infiltration network.
But obviously, he didn't do a good job if U.S. and Israeli intelligence were able to hunt him down to eliminate him.
We reported that the Basij commander Gholamreza Soleimani was also taken out. That came from tips from Iranians that he was hiding out in a tent in the woods. He hid out, but still they got him.

But they are besieging the Basij and other forces.
Israel has dropped some 10,000 munitions on thousands of different regime targets across Iran, including more than 2,200 linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Basij, and other security forces units, according to the IDF.
The whole point in targeting the internal security forces is to help free the people. Those are the forces oppressing the people. If you take them out, then the resistance can rise, and you unhinge the regime.
Most of Iran’s air-defense systems have been taken out, and Israel has maintained an “eye in the sky” surveillance system that can track targets across Iran, IDF spokesman Nadav Shoshani said in a briefing.
That's understandably making the regime forces crazy, since Israel has been hitting from the top leaders to the Basij guys doing checkpoints on the street, even hitting them when they're hiding under bridges.
They even used their fear against them. How good is their intelligence?

When the IDF discovered that security forces were gathering at Tehran’s Azadi Stadium as part of a plan to avoid their own besieged offices, the Israeli military waited for the arena to fill up before bombing it on March 5, the WSJ reported.
The strike was among the deadliest of the war, killing hundreds of members of Iran’s internal security services and military.
Now that's an effective operation.
Some of the Basij members are so concerned about this kind of attention that they're sleeping in their cars, hoping it is safer.
Some of the Basij individual commanders even got calls from Israeli intelligence, essentially trying to get them to quit. This is a pretty genius move to affect them; they even have their phone numbers.
In one example, a Mossad agent told one commander that they knew everything about him: "You are on our blacklist, and we have all the information about you." The agent said he was calling to tell him he should stand with the people, or his destiny would be "as the leader (the dead Ayatollah Ali Khamenei)."
The commander said he swore on the Quran, "I'm not your enemy." He also begged the Mossad agent to “please come help us."
The Israelis are operating drones over various areas to find and hit many centers and checkpoints, including those based on tips from Iranians. The drones hit dozens of targets, killing two to four people at a time. They not only hit spots in Tehran, but also in other places in Iran.

This all speaks of incredible intelligence capabilities, not to mention the great desire of the Iranian people to be free.
So that becomes the question now as the U.S. and Israel take out all the bad guys. Will it be enough to help the people succeed in overthrowing the regime? That ultimately is how you will install real change. The U.S. and Israel are certainly doing all they can to help make it happen.
